"Daddy?" His eyes welled up with tears as he enveloped me with his large bear hug. I always had my mothers height, short, my brothers had gotten all of their height from my 6' 4" father. My 5' 6" height was obviously almost completely hidden from the world. That's what I loved about my father, if I really wanted to hide from someone I would just hug my dad. It would all be ok... "Carly!" My mother's dulcet and sweet voice rang through my ears, she had been sick for years, and her voice always had a twinge of raspiness. But at that moment there was no raspy voice, it was just a lullaby. I didn't realize it but I was crying. Then everything went black.
