Chapter 18

Zayn's POV

"There  is no way you're making me eat that." He said, swatting Niall's arm away forcefully as the blonde haired boy shoved a deep fried spider in his face.

"C'mon Zayn! Try it! It tastes like chips." Liam said, laughing. Lana too, was looking at him encouragingly.

"But its a spider for God's sake! Its not meant to be eaten! Its meant to be stomped on!" He yelled.

"Zayn. Just try it. It doesnt taste that bad, actually." Harry said, paying the street vendor fifteen baht for another one of those spring rolls on a stick.

"Do you want to kill me?" Zayn asked as Niall shoved the spider again.

"Just one bite, Zayn!" Niall pleaded.

Finally, Zayn agreed and took a part of the thing's leg and put it in hios mouth. It was cruchy, like chips, and the taste wasn't that bad. The boys and Lana cheered.

"There. Are you happy?" Zayn asked grumpily.

"Mmmhmm." Lana said, a smirk forming on her lips. "Now that wasn't so bad, was it?"

Zayn shrugged. "Where do we go now?" 

"ELEPHANTS!" Harry yelled excitedly.

"Eleeeeephaaaaaants." Louis echoed.

Zayn smiled as she giggled. He had been thinking about her all day, and was wondering what he was going to do about her. He knew he was in love with her, but was it enough? Lana desrved the best, and he wasn't that sure if he was fit for the description.

"Oh my God. This is brilliant!" Lana yelled next to him as she stroked the beast's grey skin. The guide chuckled and led the way, the two of them saw Liam and Niall on there left side and Harry and Louis on the other.

"What's his name?" Lana asked the guide.

"Ari. Ari is her name." The guide said in broken english.

"Arii." Lana cooed.

The elephant trumpeted silently and continued to stomp around.

"Marching marching to the elephant's step." Lana sang.

"Babe, are you alright? You seem, giddy." Zayn said, laughing.

"I like elephants a lot right now." Lana said. "Its making me lightheaded."

"Lana! Look!" Liam yelled from the other elephant.

Niall was laughing hysterically as the elephant poked him with its trunk. "He's trying to get my chips!"

Lana quickly snapped a picture before bursting into giggles as the elephant dug through Niall's pockets.

"This is absolutely the best day ever." Lana gasped.

"The best day, yet." Zayn added. 

"Yeah, it is." Lana said, and pecked him on the cheek.

And right then and there, Zayn made up his mind.

"Are you sure about this, mate?" Liam asked nervously as they strolled around the boutiqe

Zayn looked at his best mate in  the eye and said, "Positive."

"Well, if you're serious, there's nothing I can do to stop you."

Zayn grinned and nodded as he paid the bill.

"Thank you." He said as the lady handed him the small paper bag.

"Just remember what you're getting yourself into, Malik."

Double update because the one I posted before this was a huge disappointment. I'm finishing the story in two weeks! I already have an epilogue done and stuff.
