>Laura's POV<

I just sat there in total bewilderment. Was this actually happening? Michael Phelps, the greatest Olympian of all time...was in love...with me. I've been dreaming of this moment for so long, I never thought it would actually happen.

"How long have you felt this way?" I asked.

"Ever since I met you yesterday" he smiled.

This was a shock. I had felt the same way about him for the same amount of time. I feel so stupid for not saying anything sooner. I thought that someone as great and as talented as him would never fall in love with someone like me.

"Wow...I...I don't know what to say" I replied.

"Oh no" he said as he buried his face in his hands.

"What?" I asked.

"You don't feel the same. I can hear it in your voice" he cried.

Clasping his hands into mine, I looked him lovingly in the eyes. "I do feel the same"

>Michael's POV<

She feels the same? Wow, I can honestly say I was surprised to hear this.

"Really? You do?" I asked.

She nodded. "Yes, I do. For just as long as you have had feelings for me. I just didn't know how to tell you, in case, well in case you didn't feel the same about me"

"Wow..." I said. "I...I thought you wouldn't feel the same because..."

"Because of what the press and the media say about you?" she said. "I don't care about all of that. Actually being here with you and talking to you, I've gotten to know the real you, and yes, you are a very successful and attractive athlete, but there's so much more to you than that. I've seen just a glimpse of that tonight..."

"Well Laura, I can assure you, there's more to me that I'm willing to share if you let me" I smile.

"I'd love that" she smiles back.

Finishing our drinks, I could tell by the look in her eyes that she didn't want the date to end. Neither did I. But I didn't know London very well at all, so I had no idea where to take her. We walked back to the tube station to have a look at possible ideas.

>Laura's POV<

"Where do you want to go to next?" I asked as we read the multicoloured tube map.

"I honestly do not mind" Michael said, smiling over at me. "I'm fine with going wherever. As long as we get something to eat. I'm starving."

"Me too" I replied. "I know this really nice pizza place in Covent Garden, and we can have a look around the indoor market while we're there"

"Sounds perfect" he said as he took my hand and we boarded the tube to Covent Garden.

The streets at Covent Garden were packed full of people, which I understand with the Olympics being on, tourists wanting to see more of London. I could notice Michael starting to feel nervous.

"You alright?" I asked.

"Yeah...fine..." he stuttered. "Just...so...many...people"

"I understand" I respond.

>Michael's POV<

I shouldn't be feeling like this. Feeling nervous around so many people while out on a date. She probably thinks that I'm ashamed to be with her in front of so many people. That's not the case at all, I'm proud to be with her. I'd scream it to the heavens if I wasn't afraid of making a scene and drawing attention to myself, and thus summoning a large crowd of fans.
