The smell of disinfectants rubbed against my nostrils but anyway, I was always accustomed to anything that was in this place.

I might say that I live here but it's not my home. Just a part of it was what I considered home. Someone here was my home.

And she was lying on the hospital bed right now for God knows since when, having countless of machines and tubes and other life supports attached to her fragile figure.

I smiled as I sat down beside her and I placed another single red rose on the table near her bed.

"Hey, beautiful. How are you, today?", I started talking knowing no one's going to answer again for the nth time. But it did not matter.

All that mattered was that her heart was still beating and she was still breathing.

I told her another nonsense story of what happened today, holding her hand, enclosing them in mine as I tried to make every word as casual as possible trying to hide the pain of seeing her in this state.

Her hands were colder than mine but no worries, I would totally keep them warm.

I showered it with kisses and smiled feeling the same sting on the corners of my eyes.

" I miss you...", I said reaching out to touch her hair out of her face.

"I miss you everyday", still no answer.

"Wake up already, I'm waiting. I'm still waiting..."

I closed my eyes as I tried to remember when was the last time I saw her beautiful chocolate eyes and heard her voice.

I imagined how she got annoyed every time she could not get anything done in time.

How I missed her laugh.

How much I love her.

"I love you...", how she whispered these words before everything turned black.

I peeled my eyes open and smiled at her sleeping form.

She was still my beautiful Allison.

I lifted myself up from my chair and leaned down on her bed making sure to support my weight to avoid crushing her. I inhaled her scent from her hair and her neck.

My sweet Allison.

" I love you, always..." I declared lowly against her ear.
