Neptune's POV
*one week later*

I sat on my bed, listening to the saddest music I could find.

Not the bed I had at Rylie's house. The bed at my actual house, where my mom and my dad lived. I had been getting constant calls and texts, but I did not answer. No one who called me really cared.

It's June 23rd. School will be starting in about two months, and I am going to be in hell again. If I make it that long, of course.

My mom and dad have been on business trips in God-knows-where, and not at home. It's not like I cared though. They didn't care either.

I haven't eaten since I left the hospital a week ago. Rylie has been passed my house, and she's been trying to get me to eat and get outside, but it's obvious I that she's fed up with my shit.

Calum and Michael don't care because they care about Rylie more than themselves, or anyone else.

Ashton is the only one I have talked to because he is the only one who understands and doesn't pressure me to talk or eat.

And Luke? Luke wants absolutely nothing to do with me. No calls, no texts, no nothing. I would've answered them if he did. Luke needs a girl who is happy and loving. Not me. The kiss was a mistake. Ashton even told me. Michael dared Luke to kiss me.

I meant nothing to anyone. I just need to be gone. If I was important, I would be important. I'm not.

My phone rang again. I figured it was only my mom, telling me that they would be gone longer than expected.

I picked it up.

Ashton❤️ is calling...

I answered and he talked before I could say word, "Can I come over?"

"Uh... I don't think that's a very good idea."

"Why? Is someone there?"

"No..."

"Good! I'll be over in ten."

"Ashton!" He hung up before he heard me say his name. I sighed and set my phone back down.

Ten minutes later, there was a knock on the door and then I heard it open.

I never locked the door because I secretly hoped a murderer would come in and kill me. No luck so far.

"Neptune!" Ashton called my name.

I slowly got up and walked into the living room. My hood was pulled over my face so he couldn't see how ugly I was.

"Let me see your face."

I shook my head.

"Neptune, I came here to see you, to help you."

"I thought you said that you weren't going to pressure me to do anything or say anything." I reminded him.

"You're being selfish. Everyone misses you, and you're ignoring them. Rylie's been crying her eyes out, and she won't talk to anyone. Michael never comes over anymore; Calum won't eat; and Luke..." He trailed off.

"Luke...?"

"He threatened to kill himself."

"What?! Why didn't you tell me?! Ashton, what the hell?! I need to talk to him!" I pushed passed him and walked out to his car.

"You do have your license, right?"

"I'm seventeen: Yes, I have my license." I nodded and got in the passenger's seat.

My needs didn't matter. Luke's did. He isn't okay, and I didn't even know.

*Luke's house*

I walked inside and his mom (or who I'm guessing was his mom) was in the kitchen.

"Are you Luke's mother?" I asked.

"Call me Liz, and you are?"

"Neptune, Luke's friend. Where can I find him?" It's urgent."

"Upstairs, second door on your left. Hello, Ashton." Ashton waved and followed me to Luke's room.

I knocked on the door.

"Mum, I said go away!" He opened the door with a mad look on his face that slowly turned to something I couldn't read.

"Neptune?"

"What the hell is wrong?! Why didn't you tell me anything?!"

"W-what do you mean?"

"You know exactly what I mean, Hemmings," I lowered my voice and talked softer, "You didn't hurt yourself, did you? Oh my god, this is all my fault."

"You didn't do anything. Just uh... Come here." He grabbed my arm and pulled me into his room.
