Time flew by. We sat in my room as I helped him with his drumming. The whole time he was telling me corny jokes and some of them were actually funny. The rest I just laughed at because they were so bad it was funny. After I had made sure he wouldn't forget the songs when we went to the performance, we moved on to studying for finals.

He had told me there would be no reason for me to study because I get good grades, but I wanted to study anyways to make sure I knew the stuff that would be deciding whether I went to college or not. He said that he needed to study because he just got here and didn't know what we were studying too well.

So I was quizzing him on everything we had learned this year. He seemed to understand most of it but some of it I had to explain to him. He didn't know it because they didn't cover it in his school.

When we finished studying and I had made sure that both of us would be doing math in our sleep as well drumming, we just hung out.

He was sitting against the wall as I was laying on the floor. We were just talking about randomness.

He seemed to know about fighting so he was trying to help me come up with strategies for tomorrow.

"Hey do you mind if I invite someone to the fight tomorrow?" Leo asked after another strategy.

"Do I know them?" I asked.

"No. It's one of my friends who came to visit me from New York." he explained to me.

"Oh. Then sure. They can tell me embarrassing stories about you."

"Oh he's not one to laugh very much by the way. He's also very serious and scary looking what with all the black clothes he wears. You two should get along fine. You both scare me." he laughed.

"You should be scared Leo. And he sounds pretty fun to me." I laughed with him.

"You think that but you just haven't met him yet." he said.

Just then Brandon walked in. "It's time for him to go now. It's getting late."

When he said that Leo looked down at his watch and then back at me. "Before I go I got you something."

He pulled a phone out of his toolbelt and handed it to me.

I held it in surprise. "Thanks Leo but I don't think-"

He cut me off. "Don't worry. I fixed this thing so you shouldn't have any problems with it." he hesitated. "Like bad WIFI or stuff."

Brandon stared at it in my hands with the same expression I had on my own face. Then my little brothers walked in.

"What the heck is taking you so-" they stopped when they saw the phone in my hand. "What is that?"

"A phone. Why are you guys acting so weird about it? It's just a phone." he sounded curious.

"It's just that we've never had a phone. This is surprising for all of us." I was still holding it. He seemed to find my response interesting.

"What are you looking at?" I asked him noticing his reaction.

"Oh nothing. I'm just surprised none of you have ever had a phone before. It's a pretty normal thing to have these days." he said almost too quickly.

"Yeah its great and all that you bought our sister a phone but you really need to go. It's late." Brandon snapped out of his shock.

I got up and put the phone on my dresser.

We all walked downstairs. We exchanged goodbyes and he left.
