I was warmly greeted by Perth, my beautiful golden labrador. I was given him for Christmas three years ago, he was just a puppy then, as I was going to undergo surgery on my uterus.
I go upstairs to my fairly large bedroom so I can get my laptop out to Skype Lolly. I press call and Lolly's face pops up.
"Hey" I said
"Hi"
"I was wondering if I could come over in an hour or two"
"Sure, Nels"
"Okay, see you then"I hung up.
Mum and Dad aren't coming home until ten this evening so I have the place to myself and ample time to see Lolly. Grabbing my phone on the way down to the kitchen I notice that Grandma has left a message. "Wheresthespacebar". She just got a smart phone and is a little behind. I ignore it and decide to make myself a snack so I can take my medicine.
Just as I finish my last cracker, Perth comes bounding in and jumps on me and licks my face. He is after a game of fetch, as usual. I wait a while just to tease him and then eventually give in and get his ball out from the cupboard under the stairs.
We go outside and I throw the ball to him as he barks and jumps around, tail wagging. I get the soccer ball and start to kick it around. Through the mini goals I had set up. Very unfortunately when I missed and hit the lemon tree the ball sprung up and went over the wooden fence. To make matters worse Perth began to bark like crazy so I couldn't jump over to get it. Eventually he calms down and I give him a treat.
I go down to the shed, which I think is haunted, and swiftly grab the ladder to get over. It covered in grease from dads oil can and sadly takes longer than I like to get it out. The ghosts and ghouls stayed away at least for the time being and with no trouble at all I start climbing over. When I jump down onto the other side I notice this isn't Mrs K's house this is Mr Adelaide's place.
