Part 46

"You've got to be kidding me why would you fucking help him?" Josh screamed.
  "She's obviously bumped her head." Ana chimed in.
I placed my index and middle fingers onto my temples trying to calm down the migraine that was forming.
"Would you two quit the nagging and let me explain," they both closed their mouths and sat down onto the rock that they were left at. "He said that if I helped him out he'd make it so the hunters don't come for us."
"Help him out how? Damion is known to go back on his word."
   "Well he wants me to visit some people."
   "What else." Josh said sternly.
   "Listen, if I can make him think I'm on his side I can take him down."
   "He wants you to do his dirty work for him, he's gotten too old for the labor?"
   "We don't kill Paris, we're not monsters!"
    "We kill if it comes down to Caleb, we're  parents now."
    "The answer is no, we'll find another way to take him down."
    "We don't have time..." I started to say before  Josh cut me off.
     "Enough! I said no and I mean it!"
I've never seen Josh get this mad, his voice was powerful and it made me squirm. I knew I wasn't going to change his mind and that he was going to keep his eyes on me.
"Fine but plan B better be a hell of a lot better."
    "Paris, what do you do best?"
I looked at him confused, what is he trying to say. What do I do best?
    "Magic!"
    "There's got to be some spell in your Nana's book."
    "Let's go find out." Ana stated.
I nod my head and they lead the way out of the woods. We enter into the house where Katrina, Raven, and Adriana meet us.
   "We might have a way to defeat Damion. I need my book to find the answer."
    "I'll go get it." Raven said.
We seat ourselves in the living room, as Raven comes back with my Nana's spell book.
"Sapphire, I need some help. What's a spell I can use to get rid of an enemy for good?"
The book flips its pages and lands on a banishment spell.
"What does it say?" Ana asked.
"It's a spell to banish people to either LIMBO or hell, but there is a catch to this spell."
   "There's always a price to pay." Raven mumbled.
  "Someone has to be banished along with him to make sure the portal seals from the inside."
Silence falls over us but Josh quickly ends it.
  "Let's get the ingredients for this spell for now and figure this out afterwards."
I read the ingredients out to them and they scattered to get it together.  Time seemed to go by slowly, this was finally going to be the end of  this war.

   "That bottle will open the portal?"
I hold up a vial filled with black liquid that sparkles as if it was a galaxy of stars.
   "Yes, this bottle opens up the portal, but someone needs to close the inside while I close it up from the outside."
   "I'll do anything to keep you safe Paris."
   "No, not happening! You have a whole family Josh. We have a son who needs his father. I refuse to let you do this."
   "I'll do it." Ana stated.
   "Ana..."
   "It's okay Paris, it's the least I can do. I've been waiting for the moment to make him suffer. I need to do this for Ellie."
My heart broke, Anastasia went through a lot and I would be devastated if I went through the same thing with Josh. She was making amends for her wrong doings and getting revenge at the same time. I wasn't going to let her suffer. I grabbed the left over ingredients from the potion and made another vial, instead this one was a light pink with silver specks.
    "When you close the portal from the inside, take this. It's so you can be with Ellie again."
She gave me a small smile and her face softened.
   "Thank you Paris, but we better go."
I nodded my head and stood up from the table.
   "Remember Raven and Josh, you focus on Nick. Ana, don't come out until I give the signal, and Katrina and Adriana make sure he doesn't try to run."
I handed the pink vial to Ana and then shoved the black one into my back pocket.
It's showtime.
Stepping into the woods the air shifted and made me shiver, I could feel the negative energy coursing through my blood.
   "I know you're here Damion." I said.
   "Ah, can't fool ju."
Damion stepped out of the shadows along with Nick, who came up and wrapped a strand of hair around his finger.
   "Oh Nick, I know how much you would love to pull my hair, but darling how about I break your arm?"
I spun around and twisted his arm against his back and rammed him into a tree.
   "ENOUGH!" Damion growled, "Nick leave her alone."
I let go of Nick and he growled at me making sure to show his fangs.
   "Did I hurt the poor kitty?"
I backed away and turned towards Damion, he was wearing a smile on his face, while Nick was still pouting.
   "I assume ju are here to accept my offer, are ju not?"
   "Actually, I came here to say that ju can take jur offer and stick it up jur ass."
  "Du skremmer meg ikke heks."
Damion was speaking Norwegian, my Nana didn't teach me too many Scandinavian languages, but I understood.
  "I'm glad you're not scared Damion. Victoria wasn't scared when I slit her throat, and Howl wasn't scared when he was burned alive."
All of a sudden Nick's body stiffened and he turned his nose up to the air and ran into the woods. Nick had Josh's scent and the plan was in motion.
    "It must've been hard to hear that not one, but both of your children died because of me."
I was hitting a soft spot and his calm exterior was melting. The wolf was going for the sheep.
"If only you could've saved sweet Victoria from her hea..."
Damion had me by the throat and was squeezing the life out of me. Ardeat manus. Damion dropped his hands from my neck as they started to burn, which gave me a chance to breathe again. At that moment Ana came into view from the bushes.
"Ana?"
"Hello Daddy dearest, fancy seeing you here?"
"How?"
"Oh Damion, guess you shouldn't leave your plans out in the opening with nosey girls like me around."
I begin to say the chant, and a portal opens up behind Damion as he steps towards me.
"Now Ana."
She smiled and drove a kick towards Damion's chest causing him to fumble back into the portal. She waved and went in after him. I quickly closed the portal from the outside and hoped that Ana was able to do her part to end this.
