"The day begins once more with a yawning Sydney," I say to my kwami Effie.
Effie looks at me with her bright yellow eyes. She yawns too. "I'm so tired Sydia. Can't we just sleeeeeeeeep?" She asks emphasising on the 'sleep' "
"Yeah I guess two more minutes won't hurt," I mutter.
Effie suppresses a smile. "Good," she yawns back to sleep.
TIME SKIP TO 7:40
"Oh, sugar! Effie! Wake up its 7:40! That means only five more minutes until school starts!" I check my phone once more. "Bah! 7:41!" I gasp.
"Sydia come on, we will be on time," reassures Effie.
I squeal. "I can't be late on the first day of school!" I ignore her earlier remark.
"Right. I still don't know why you had to move from Australia. The name is funny but it's a pretty place!" Says Effie still yawning on her pillow.
"Yeah, I know." I remember when I would sit at school hearing all these funny accents work their way into my ears.
"Education before home?" I say raising my voice at the 'home'
"Psssh yeah right." Effie murmurs.
I slip on my long black boots with diamonds tracing up my ankle. I wear pink shirt with birds flying over my chest and and a black short skirt.
"You are not wearing that are you?" Effie says like a teenage friend.
I nod.
"You look too desperate." She says.
"I do don't I? It's the only thing I have which is presentable," I say.
Effie groans and points to my study table where a whole heap of clothes is dunked.
"You better wear a simple outfit, you'll look pretty," she says.
I dissect the clothes like a skilled pathologist dissecting a corpse, I had seen every piece of clothing there was available.
I decide to wear a short black skirt again and a grey long sleeved short shirt and a short black leather jacket with zips. Oh, and regular pumps.
"Your short today. It'll have to do! Come on let's go!" Effie says.
I check my phone.
"Gah! It's 7:52!!" I. Exclaim. "Let's dash!"

I have a few options for her superhero name to be Luperca, Luna or Prioria, Wallacia or Lequeen. I personally love Luperca.
