PROLOGUE
It's our free hour again, wasn't much in the mood to read the textbooks so instead I brought out my favorite novel "1...2...3." It's about a girl constantly being targeted for a possession of which a secret organization wants to claim. it's much of a thriller, too--and I love thrillers (A/N: it's a promotion plug xD please read it too, thanks! :3)
I was taking it out of my bag when somebody passed by and unintentionally tugged my elbow, making the book fall.
"Hey! Can't you be a little more care--," i shouted, but midsentence when the person cut me off.
"Sorry."
thump.thump.thump.
"my bad. and yeah, sure. i'll be careful next time," the person beamed and picked my book as well as handing it over. "here."
"t-thanks," i stuttered.
"you're the transferee last quarter, right? i'm Keegan. Keegan Luce," he said as he stretched his arm, gesturing for a handshake.
"y-yeah, that's right. c-catherine. i'm Catherine Loigh," i stuttered. twice.
you did notice i've been stuttering a lot lately, right? but it isn't because he's handsome and cool or anything, it's just that i felt guilty shouting at him, when in fact it was only an accident--and the fact that he's the first person to talk to me in like, forever.
"guess i'll see you around. got to run!" he said before rushing off.
"sure," i answered, though i was sure it was only me who heard it he turned around and smiled. at me. i think i blushed. well, it's not like we can feel ourselves blushing right?
since that awkward day, i couldn't stop thinking about him, his face--his name.
Keegan.
Keegan.
Keegan Luce.
*poof!*
SNAP OUT OF IT!
