Winter doesn't like make up, parties, crowds, and talking to guys. When her best friend Susan drags her to a party she wishes she was any where else, but here. Especially since this was one of Susan's attempts to set her up with a guy she barely even knew. At first she didn't care for him but his archaic behavior intrigues her. Little does she know this is her first introduction to the world of darkness.
I based this off of Vampire the masquerade; bloodlines made by the white wolf company
"Don't be so ridiculous snow." She retorted. "Of course you're beautiful, you'll find that special someone some day." She ran the comb through her soft brown hair. I scoffed in disbelief.
"Sure if he's blind, or worse than me." I replied dryly combing through my own raven colored hair. She shot me an icy glare. "You know it's true Susan." I added. She sighed tiredly taking me by the shoulders. She twirled a strand thoughtfully as she studied my face.
"Promise me snow you'll try." Susan implored. I sighed as she batted her long black eyelashes and stared at me pleadingly with eyeliner rimmed blue eyes. I rolled my eyes looking away, but all the same I nodded; not wanting to upset Susan on her birthday. "Besides you're nineteen years old; live a little!"
"I'd much rather be reading, or working in the office." I replied sharply. The business that my dad owned was mine as the CEO once he gives the position to me. I've worked hard for his recognition, but sadly that resulted in a lack of social skills. Susan threw the comb at my head which landed with a decent sounding thunk. I rubbed the spot of impact as she scolded me putting eye shadow on my face.
"You work too much. One of James's cute friends is coming to town; he's a little obsolete in my opinion, but I can tell he is perfect for you." Susan giggled as I rolled my eyes again. Leave it to Susan to play cupid.
"Please Susan no more blind dates!" I begged desperately. She pushed my shoulder playfully.
"Come on Winter! don't be a bore, meet the guy, get knocked up, just have fun!"
"Susan!" I gasped horrified that she had brought up the subject of sex. Susan laughed at my expression.
"Come on Winter you're nineteen; this should only be a little cookie to you."
"It's not a little cookie; its a disgusting occurrence that get people pregnant and causes diseases."
"Not if you wear a condom." She replied in a sing-song voice. I gagged in disgust leaving the bathroom, and sitting down on my couch. It was small and orderly with only one room with a bathroom and the channel stayed turned on to a news station. I tuned out the news anchor talking about some gang violence in some location outside of Santa Monica. I glared down at the purple boots with four-inch heels Susan bought for me. I sighed rubbing my leg each being hugged to death by skin tight pants that went with the boots.
"Hey snow." I turned to see Susan holding up a respectfully appropriate camisole. I wiggled out of my warm black sweater, and slipped on the shirt. I shivered as the cold air touched my bare skin but decided to endure it.
I looked around the room filled with people drinking, dancing by grinding on each other, or making out on the furniture. I wrinkled my nose in disgust as I refused to drink any alcohol. Susan dragged a blonde by the wrist as he glared at her. She pulled him to her side as she stood in front of me.
"Winter! This is Louis!" She shouted over the blaring music. Louis seemed to wince at the volume of her voice before observing me. I averted my gaze knowing he was staring at my strange purple eyes. He smiled at me with mis-matched eyes as he leaned closer whispering;
"You're strange little doll, will you be a nice little doll and tell this one a tale?" He asked. I wondered why he chose such odd words. Despite this I shivered.
"S-sure." I stuttered looking back into his brown and green eyes. He smiled taking me by the waist he lead me to a quieter place in the back. I sighed in relief finding no couples had made their way here. He ran his fingers through my hair regarding me with an affectionate expression.
"Tell this one your tale snow white." He repeated.
"I grew up in Virginia, my father is the CEO of his business, and my mother died when I was young; there isn't much to tell." I replied shyly.
"There is a missing piece to this doll." Louis muttered to himself. I looked at him a little closer studing his pale face. The only thing abnormal about his appearance were his eyes. He shook his head, and pulled me closer to his cold body. I rested my head on his plain white shirt; feeling the muscles underneath the fabric. I could feel his hand stoking my backside as he comforted me. "It's okay little doll, you can keep your sorrows to yourself." He assured while I buried my head into his chest. This was strange for me I normally wouldn't even had let him take me here, but I felt like I knew him for years. He lowered his head to my neck kissing it.
"Forgive this one." He whispered sending chills down my spine as I felt sharp teeth pierce my skin. I looked up at him as my vision faded and one word escaped my lips.
"Brother?!"
