There are two types of people in this world.
There are those who are Human, and those who hold Humanity.

A light tap rattled the door. Then, after a short silence, 18 Karat gold rings tapped the old wooden surface again.

The middle Prince lingered outside Mr Tomlinson's house for a while, listening out for the sound of footsteps walking down the stairs but nothing seemed to come.
He hadn't been able to eat anything substantial since Louis left the Palace last summer. He hadn't been able to drink properly either, and the dark circles contoured his heavy grey eyes.

They were once green like the grass in the fields of daisies, bright like a child's eyes should be, but since then, the colours had faded and the flowers had shrivelled up to nothing more than dry weeds. That darkness Louis once dragged Harry out of had made its return, clouding over the lively colours just to turn them into the darkness of a shadow, or the colour in the rain. Yes, the day Louis left was the day Harry's soul crumbled away forever.

Harry's cheeks had hollowed out and the nail scars of the right side of his face were still red in his unhealthy complexion. His hair had grown longer but the curls never did form back; the dull brown strands fell lifelessly down and clouded his vision. As for his clothes, they now hung on his body, making him look out of place and plain beneath.
He no longer smiled, believing he'd forgotten how.
His grey eyes had glazed over to tired slits, and the crown on his head had chipped and broken. The Prince of Lust and Desire was now pointless in this world; no woman even took a second glance at him and he no one called his name.

The brat everyone used to love so much was nothing more than a shadow in the crowded ballrooms, nothing more than an empty seat at the dining table, and nothing more than five degrees from freezing.
He didn't look like the Prince he was, he no longer spoke or acted like one either. He was merely a lifeless puppet being guided by the Queen's orders.

Everyone could tell that he was nothing more than that, not ever since that day.

Harry swallowed and pushed the door. It opened after a heavier tug because no one had ever fixed the hinges. Blunt heels cracked over the dust that had made its way under the door, and Harry walked inside the building. He looked around, dropping his cloak on the floor where it crumpled up like it had on the very first day.

Every surface of the room had a layer of thick dust covering it like the snow that covered the streets outside. The armchair Zayn used to slouch in was sinking under the weight and long cobwebs covered the television screen. Harry looked blankly around some more, not saying a word and not touching anything but the dusty planks.

There wasn't a sound in the house, not a cry, not a laugh, nor a whisper. Everything was abandoned and it made Harry's expressionless face turn to a slight frown. "Louis." He said, his monotone voice sounding heavy from the lack of health. "Are you here?"
