''No! Please! Stop! I'll do anything! Just don't hurt them! Please! MOM! DAD! NO!!!!'' She jerked awake from the nightmare, tears streaming down her face. This was the daily routine. She'd been waking up like this for the past four years or so. Ever since her parents and her had been kidnapped. She stared off into space, not noticing the figure coming into her bedroom from the open window, as memories of that fateful day flashed in front of her. '
'Mommy! Daddy! Tag! You're it! '', shouted the little girl as she ran away from her parents. After running for a while, she suddenly stops, turning around, wondering what could be keeping her parents from catching her. She sees her mommy and daddy being pulled into a van, unconscious, but she thinks that they're asleep. ''Oh mommy and daddy! You don't sleep in the middle of a game!'', she exclaims, laughing. Suddenly everything goes black. The little girl has been knocked out by a man who drags her limp body into the van holding her unconscious parents. After a while the girl opens her eyes, seeing darkness. ''Oh, you're awake. Now you can say goodbye to your precious parents.'', an evil sounding voice speaks, as the dark space suddenly lights up. In the middle of the room, there are two poles. One has her mother tied up to it, and the other one has her father. They look at her with fear and sorrow in their eyes. As the gags are ripped off their faces, they both whisper something barely audible. But the little girl hears them anyways. "We love you, princess. Goodbye.'' ''What do you mean?'' she wants to shout out, but her mouth won't make the words for it. Another burly man goes over to them and starts violently lashing at them with his whip and belt. The little girl starts shouting, screaming in fear, and feeling the pain herself as her parents are getting hurt right in front of her little eyes. Tears are streaming down her mommy and daddy's faces, as they know that they're experiencing the last moments of their lives. Suddenly, some unknown person comes, and starts pummeling the bodies with as much force as they possibly can. An instant later, they go, leaving only two limp bodies, eyes rolled back into their heads, lifeless, and one very broken little girl who has witnessed the murder of her parents right before her eyes. A little girl that will never be the same again.
Suddenly, a sound cuts through the air. The little girl, who is not a little girl anymore, feels light headed. She touches the back of her head, and bringing her hand forward, sees blood. As her eyes roll back into her head, and her vision starts to fade, she hears sirens outside her home. The little eight year old girl whispers one final thing before she goes to sleep forever. ''I love you, mommy and daddy. I'll see you soon.'' As she hears the door kicked open, and lots of voices, she smiles a tiny smile, then closes her eyes for the very last time.
