Screaming doors and slamming voices
A hand gropes the darkness
To wrap itself over my heart
It smothers every ray of light
The white rose withers to black
Blue and black spreads
Slowly taking overGnashing teeth and frightening vowels
Spin a web around
A mirror falls from the side table
Left to be picked up slowly
Shards cut through dough
Words cut through heartEnter the carnival
See the haunted lights and distorted mirrors
See the carousel swing round and round
You never leave the hall of mirrors
Once you've enteredEvery eye on you
Every look, a slap
Every second slows the air
Until the air scrapes through your throat to satisfies your lungsDon't look
Don't believe
Don't trust
The lights to the carousel shut down
