Introduction

'Today is the day.' Jack thought to himself as he stared out the the barred window. Jack Roberts was a prisoner in L.A county jail. He was in jail for life convicted because he susposedly killed his little sister Amy, when she was two. But he did not. He knew who did but nobody believed him. He was sent a threat from the murder the day he wrote his statement to the police. Well you could say it was not a happy letter. Today it was Amy's 13th Birthday. '11 years,' he thought '11 fucking years!' Jack staggered out of his rock hard bed and pushed his letter through the bars to the police officer in charge of the mail. The police officer eyed him suspiciously and opened the envelope and peered into it. "Clear." He said before handing it too the mail man. "Well what do you think I was going to smugle out, dirt!" He muttured under his breath. 'Eleven painful years...' he thought again.

Meanwhile on the otherside of the world there was a 20 year old girl with long wavy brown hair. She was called Brianna. Brianna Roberts.

Chapter 1

It was a sad day for Brianna and to make things worse it was raining in the usually sunny Australia. It was her dead sister, Amy's, birthday. Her 13th. Brianna's brown eyes filled with tears but she wiped them away self conciously. She tried a smile and it wavered slightly before strengthaning. Brianna walked out of her rented villa and hurried down to the beach cluttching her photo album. She sat down on the yellow sand and checked her watch. It was 9:50. She had ten minuets before she put on a wet suit and braved the great barrier reef.

Brianna looked down at her photo album and slowly flicked through the pages. The was a picture on Amy's tenth birthday of Brianna about to bunjee jump of the Golden Gate Bridge. She smiled. Every year on Amy's birthday Brianna did something dangerous or something that scared her. Some people said she was a thrill seeker and others said she was just plain stupid. Her answer she was a little bit of both. All of this, however, was meaningless to Brianna. She closed the journal and dropped it in her bag. The rain was beginning to let off an the clear blue sea was becoming more and more inviting as the sun peaked out from behind the clouds.

"G'day mate!" A thick Australian accent pulled her out of her trance. Brianna turned around and standing there was a tanned muscular man with shaved brown hair. "Erm hi, I am Brianna." she said slightly surprised. The man grinned at her and said "I am Sandy, its nice to meet you." Brianna just nodded. His smiled wavered slightly but he shook his head and headed into the shack behind him. He appeared 2 minuets later with a black and pink wet suit. "The changing room is around the back and too the left." he said winking. Brianna smiled awkwardly and walked round the back of the shack. She quickly changed out of her shorts and t-shirt and put the wet suit on. "This squeezes me in all the wrong places!" she murmured.

Brianna opened the door and walked out of the changing room. Brianna walked back towards Sandy. "Well thats you sorted!" Sandy said grinning at Brianna. "Sandy, stop flirting and get back to work!" A woman with short grey hair and a huge smile came walking down the beach. "Hiya! I am Rachel and I will be your scuba diving partner today!" Brianna smiled nervously at Rachel then shyly asked Sandy to take a picture of her and Rachel. "For my photo album!" she added quickly holding up the brown weathered book. Sandy shot a split second look at Rachel and took the camera. "Say Scuba Diving!" he yelled. Brianna stifled a laugh Rachel however was not so lucky! "Alright team!" Rachel said as Sandy handed back the camera. "Lets move out!" Sandy nodded and ran down towards a small speed boat.

"Hon your gonna have to leave that book here," Rachel said zipping up her wet suit. "But..." Brianna stopped mid sentance. Clutching the journal tightly she asked "Will it be safe here?" Even after she said it she realized how stupid it sounded. "Of course it will be!" Rachel said staring at Brianna like she had grown another head. "Now lets go or you will miss you slot!" Rachel turned and jogged down the beach with Brianna lagging behind slightly. They hoped into the boat and Sandy started the engine. He smiled at Brianna before putting the speed boat at medium throttle. The salt water stung Briannas eyes as they flew across the surf. They travelled for about five minuets before Rachel stopped Sandy. Sandy turned of the engine. Rachel looked overboard and nodded at Sandy. Sandy pressed a button and the anchor began to drop. Rachel looked overboard again. "Perfect!" she said grinning at Brianna.
