i woke up to the beautiful sun rays coming out from my bedroom window making small pretty electic vibes on my duvet, it's 10:30...woops!
today is my 18th birthday, i took the day off but that doesn't mean i should lay in bed sleeping all day! i drag myself out of bed and hit the shower.
once out i go straight to the kitchen and start making coffee and some pancakes. I open MTV to distract me while my coffee is done oh One Direction are on. Now that's a birthday present!
as i sip from the cup of coffee, i hear my intercom ring, i pull myself from the kitchen stool and head towards the device and answers quickly.
"Miss Essam?" a male voice asks through the handset
"yes?" i answer
"you have a delivery ma'am" i press the button and let him in soon there's a knock on the door
"hello" the boy greeted once he's inside, he holds this huge bouquet of white roses. beautiful.
"Happy Birthday ma'am" i thank him and sign then he leaves
the roses looks incredibly beautiful, i immediately pick up the card and read what's written...
"People say that love is in every corner... I must be walking in circles around you -Finn"
i giggled at his message, moments later there's another knock on the door i open it and find another young male giving me a whole other package
"Happy Birthday miss" he says then leaves
the package includes velvet red roses this time and with a new note "remember the first time you walked into google headquarter and you tripped and i helped you up and it all started from there? well bottom line is 'You tripped me, so I fell for you'."
i giggled more at his note and started remembering the first day of my current job, google headquarters.
i was wearing my blue new pumps and while i was entering the room, i tripped and almost hit the ground to my face but i feel hands on my wrist holding me tightly before i almost smash my face. once steady i look up to find greenish blue eyes staring at me with concern as the words "are you okay?" slip from his mouth.
i give him a foolish smile cause he's just so damn charming, he returns the smile and helps me with my things, ever since then we've been pumping into each other in the hallways, meetings in addition to lunch but hey i didn't mind! until this one day after 2 weeks he finally asked me out and we've been together ever since then for 2 years
i retrieve back from my reminisce state and startle as the door bangs again, i open it and it's another bouquet of flowers, pianese to be exact, they call it the queen of flowers. it also has a note.
"I'm in love with you and all your little things"
once i read the note the door bangs again and again and again. each time a different bouquet and a different note.
"Dreams can't take the place of loving you."
“And in her smile I see something more beautiful than the stars.”
but the last one was the one that made me burst.
“I wanted to tell you that wherever I am, whatever happens, I’ll always think of you, and the time we spent together, as my happiest time. I’d do it all over again, if I had the choice. No regrets.”
as the tears stream down, i hear the door knock again, i stiff a bit then open the door expecting another bouquet and there's one but this time it's more huge and more enormous than the rest.
"Happy Birthday babe" a voice i recognize speaks once he moves the bouquet down, i see his beautiful face and i ran to hug him, once wrapped around him his hands leave the bouquet and it falls to the ground, he places his hands on my waist and nuzzles in my neck and smiles.
"i thought you'd be in London this week!" i say rather amused
"i couldn't possibly miss my favourite girl's special day?! Happy 18th birthday babe. you've grown so much since the first time we met at the internship but that doesn't change how much i love you nor every time i look at you, it's like the first time." he hugs me tighter "i love you Dina"
"i love you Finn" i mutter back to him and his lips finds mine.
this is the perfect birthday gift.
