“Jenelle, we have to get to school.” My sister Courtney told me, giving me a look like I was crazy.

“I’m almost ready, can you let me put on my makeup in peace? Thanks.” I told her applying my mascara.

“Well, it’s our first day and I don’t exactly want to be late, do you?”

“Look Court. Sure it’s our first day, but who the hell cares? Diffidently not the parents, chill would you?” She shook her head, as we walked outside.

“Just think before you act Jenelle, alright?” She asked as we started walking outside.

“Like always.” I say smiling at her, hopping in the car.

“I’ll drive.” I add, putting the key into the ignition.

“I’m not joking. It’s not funny.” She says putting on her seat belt. I rev the engine of our sleek black Porsche.

“Explain to me why you even got this thing. It brings to much attention to ourselves. Are you really that dumb?” She asks me, as I speed out of the parking lot and onto the road.

“If you got it, flaunt it. And hunnie, trust me, we got it.” I say winking to her. She rolls her eyes at me angrily shaking her head.

“And look if it makes you happy, my goal for junior year is to not to get detentions, suspensions or expulsions like last year. Woot woot! No? You don’t look too excited. Oh well! Hell, you know I’m just jumping for joy!” I say glaring at her.

“Jen, watch out!” My eyes flick forward slamming on the breaks. We smash into the back of some guy pulling out of his drive way.

“Shit, shit, shit.” I mutter, looking at Courtney. She’s glaring at me.

“Go check if the he’s okay! Jesus Christ Jenelle! Go.” She says angrily. I quickly hop out of the car and run to the guys. His back bumper is lying on the ground not far from my car. I pull open the door, and the man is sitting there, air bag diploid.

“Oh my. I am so sorry sir. Are you okay? Do you need help or-“

“Get out of my way. Do you know how much money you have just cost me? This is at least going to be… I don’t even know how much.” He says, and I wince at the amount of venom in his voice as he’s talking to me.

“I’m really sorry. But I have insurance so everything will be fine. I’m really sorry. Here I’ll give you my information and everything will be cleared up.” I tell him pulling out my purse and giving him my insurance information and my cell phone number.

“You can’t just assume that everything will be fine! I was going to work and now I’m going to be late. I’m going to have to pick up a rental and-“

“Dad! What are you doing?” I hear someone yell farther away. I look up from looking at the man, and there is a guy about my age walking up to us coming from inside the house.

“This dumb bimbo just slammed into my car and thinks that everything will be fine just because she has insurance.”

“Give the girl some credit. It’s actually not even that bad you’re okay right?”

“Dumb bimbo?” I interject confused.

“I’m fine, but I can’t drive this to work!” Mr. Save my day, looks at me with his dark brown eyes.

“Don’t mind him, he’s just and old push over. Are you okay?” I nod looking at him, smiling. Wait, why am I smiling? Jenelle, stop it. Just keep a straight face. There we go. Shit he’s smiling back. Oh well might as well give the dude what he wants.

“Yeah I’m fine I’m really sorry though. I’m pretty sure my insurance will cover it.” I say, shrugging looking at the man again.

“And if there’s anything I can do, really I am sorry.” He glares at me.

“I’m sure there’s tons you could do! Your family must be fucking rich or something! I mean look at your car!” I glare at him. Knowing I bought this with the money I had been saving up.

“Do you need a ride?” I whisper to his son. He smiles at me, throwing his keys to his dad.

“Take my car; I’m getting a ride with…?”

“Jenelle.” I add.

“I’ll get a ride with Jenelle.” He says walking over to my car.

“Court, scoot into the middle.” I say getting closer to the car, knowing she can hear me.

“Hop in the front. I’m driving.” I say walking over to the driver’s seat. Courtney is sitting where I asked her to sit, glaring up at me, but mystery boy doesn’t seem to notice her.

“I’m Kian by the way.” He says to me, as I put the key into the ignition.

“Well, nice to meet you Kian. Looks like I’m pretty fortunate for hitting your dad’s car.” I say winking at him.

“Rev the engine, that’ll get him pissed.” He says laughing, I do, then speed off, knowing there was nothing wrong with my car. Not even a dent. Kian’s dad’s was a piece of shit, and the old man knew it.

“You’re new to Red bank high, aren’t you?” He asks. I nod, glancing over at him.

“Yeah. Just moved here with my sister.” I say. Tyler glances at Court for the first time and he waves but she doesn’t say anything.

“Yeah, um she’s sleeping.” I say trying to make her look less rude.

“Her eyes are open.” He says laughing.

“Maybe she’s just in shock because I have such great driving skills.” I say winking at him. He laughs looking at me.

“I’ll just have to show you around then wont I?” He asks giving me a half smile which was sexy as hell.

“I guess you will.” I say pulling into a parking spot. Once we all get out of the car Courtney strolls past us and walks into the main office.

“What’s her problem?” I mutter under my breath, and Kian laughs.

“It’s funny if she thinks that she’s getting away from us because we have to go to the same exact place to get your schedule.” He says grinning. We slowly walk up to the main office making small talk. He pulls open the door and holds it for me.

“Thanks handsome.” I say and walk up to the main desk. The woman sitting there was doing something on her computer and was completely ignoring me. I rest my hand on the counter and tap my fingers, waiting for her to look up. She doesn’t. She just makes us look like idiots, waiting for her.

“Excuse me.” I say in a bitchy tone of voice. She glares up at me.

“Didn’t I just deal with you?” She asks in the same tone of voice. My eyebrow raises, and I smirk at her.

“Sorry there’s two of us. I’m Jenelle Brooks, her twin sister.”
