His Life Before
One normal calm winter day in Minnesota, 17 year old Martin was working at his new job in Northfield serving chocolate covered cockroaches at Stuff Yourself. Now it was 7:00 p.m. and Martin was driving to his apartment, in Faribault, after his hard three hour shift.
When he got to apartment 36B his mom was sitting on the couch drinking tea. Martin was surprised to see her because she said she wasn't going to visit him in less of an emergency. What was she going to say? "Martin, I hate to say this but your father has passed away." She said crying. I was so sad because my dad and I did a lot of things together, but then my mom told me that my dad had a plan to go to the gym to "work out" but he planned to hurt himself very bad so he could stay in the hospital. Then my mom told me what had happened on his way to the gym, she said he got in a really bad accident. She was crying.
I have finals this week and I don't need a distraction." Martin said with anger. ''The funeral is on Thursday.'' Mom said trying to cheer me up. But it did not cheer me up because I have the biggest test on Thursday. This was the worst day of my life! Then my mom left because she had to go to a meeting. Now I was alone.
It was Wednesday now and I talked to my teacher and asked her what I should do. Mrs.Chevy told me to come in early to take the test tomorrow or take the test on Saturday. I decided to take the test tomorrow, instead of on Saturday. So the next morning I came in early. The test was way harder than I thought it would be. So after the test it was time for me to get on the road to go to my dad's funeral. I was still really sad. I hadn't smiled all day. On my way I thought to myself, why would my dad do that. I loved him. Well I was thinking that's when it happened, all the sudden ....... BOOM!!! It hit me.
