Merediths POV
"WAKE UP MEREDITH, YOUR GONNA BE LATE FOR SCHOOL!!!" I heard my mom scream from down the stairs. I slowly turned and hit my nightstand repeatedly until I found my phone. I slowly picked it up and turned it on. I glanced at the clock which read, "6:00" "Crap" I thought to myself. After checking my instagram for a few minutes, I finally got the energy to get out of bed. I pulled on my fuzzy sheep slippers from last christmas, and walked into the bathroom. I washed my face, brushed my teeth, and combed my hair. I then started on my makeup while listening to music. Everything was going perfectly fine in the world of Meredith Greene, until I heard my annoying younger brother pounding on the bathroom door. I hesitantly took out my headphones and paused The Way - by Ariana Grande. I got up from my chair and opened the door, my brothers arm halfway up to pound on my door, yet again. "What do you want Zack?" I asked annoyed. It was Zack's first day of middle school, and he was just starting sixth grade. We will be going to the same school now, but I'm going to be in 8th grade. I'm sort of nervous about having him at the same school as me, like him embarrassing me and such, but I'm not that worried. Over the summer Zack had really matured. He started shopping at less dorkish stores, and he has been going out with friends more often. "Meredith, I need to get into the bathroom, I left my toothbrush in your bathroom by accident, and I forgot to get it out last night." "Okay" I stated, "But hurry up because I don't want to be late." My brother rushed out of my bathroom and ran back to his. I then shut the door and continued doing my makeup. After I was done I went into my room and pulled out the two outfits that I couldn't decide on last night. The first one was a floral dress with a cute cardigan to go over it. The second one was a skater skirt and a brandy melville t-shirt that i had gotten last year. I decided to go with the skirt, and then I paired it with a pair of converse high-tops, and a neff beanie. After grabbing a quick breakfast, I headed out the door and waited in the car for my mom to drive me. After a few minutes Zack came out, and my mom, following behind him. Once we had arrived at our school, we got out of the car, kissed our mom goodbye, and promised her we would text her once we got out of our last class. After we finally entered our school, I turned to my brother and wished him good luck, along with a few reminders like how i'd text him at the end of the day. I then walked down the 8th grade wing to my locker. Once I had gotten there, I looked to see who's locker was near mine. Luckily, my friend Cass was about 3 lockers away from me. I could see her small body leaning over her backpack. I ran up to her giving her a huge hug from behind. She started laughing, turned around and gave me a big hug back. "Hey Meredith! How are you doing?" We had talked for a little bit, but since the warning bell was going to ring soon we had to cut it short. I went back to my locker, spun the dial to clear it a few times, and then started off with the combo. I opened it and started to take out everything that was in my backpack. A few weeks before, I had gotten locker decorations for my locker, and they looked absolutely adorable. I had gotten a mini white-board with multi-colored magnetic dry erase markers, a mini blue locker rug, a blue mirror, and to top it all off - some pictures of my friends. I continued loading all of my books into my locker, until I had nothing left except my binder and pencil case. I quickly hung up my backpack on the hooks, and glanced at my first period, which read - English, Stec, room 418. I grabbed my binder and headed off to first period. As I walked into the english room I glanced around to see Cass, Bethany, Lyssa, Livi, and Katie all talking in the back corner of the room. I glanced around to see who else was there and I saw Aaron, Gregg, Jessica, Evan, and Christine sitting in the other corner of the room. I walked up to my friends who were all were talking about how their summers went. Bethany said she and her family had gone to Canada over the break. Lyssa and Livi had gone to Florida. Katie had soccer tournaments most of the time, so she was all over the place, and Cass had gone to Seattle. We all were giving eachother compliments about our outfits, hair and accessories. Everyone had seemed to be busy talking to their friends, they hadn't seen the middle aged man walk into the room. He had been standing there for about 5 minutes until we had all seemed to settle into our seats. He had begun introducing himself, and talking about how the year would be. He had us start off by telling eachother our names and some facts about us, which was completely pointless on our behalf since we all knew eachother in the first place. After the period ended, I was off to science, then to social studies, and then to lunch. As I walked into the cafeteria I spotted my friends who were starting to sit down at lunch. I saw that everyone had a lunch, except Cass. I turned to Cass as all of my friends were talking about their teachers. "Do you have any lunch Cass?" I asked questionally. "No, i'm not very hungry." she replied back.
