"Um... Deidara-san....?"
"Un..?"
Deidara turned to see you sort of following him, since you were shyly hiding behind the corner of wall, which unnerved him. You, who was shrinking little by little, blushed a bit and walked up to the blonde girl and looked straight down; afraid to say anything.
In a moment, a quick flashback appeared on how you met the bomb terrorist.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Flames rose everywhere, and the inhabitants of the village screamed terrified shrieks of agony. People praying for mercy; slaughtered into bits and pieces rest on the stained ground. A few drops dripped like rain on the ninjas' swords.
You were told to run. You were told to run, just as your mother was cut up, along with your father. And so you ran far away.
Running and panting hard, as fast as you could, you tripped by a root of a tree and tumbled down the hill. Rocks and thorns scratched your skin and tore at your flesh. By the time you reached the bottom, you were dirty and almost in the state of being dead.
Before closing your eyes from the weariness, you caught a glance of a black cloak and blonde hair.
Waking up moments later, you find yourself on a bed in a dark cave. Panicking, you were wondering if you were kidnapped or something. Hearing echoing footsteps, the same blond hair came into view, and a man walked up to find you awake and rather a little paranoid.
"So, you awake, huh? Un." To you, his voice was smooth and playful. Still, you thought he sounded too manly to be a girl, so you questioned if he went through puberty the wrong way.
"WHAT!?"
"GAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!"
You turned to see an albino laughing hard enough to clutch his stomach, and he was practically naked to the chest.
"Hah! Deidara, you just got insulted real BAD! And that's the most hilarious joke I've heard!"
"Shut it! Un!"
You didn't know what to expect, but you sort of giggled at the comedic things the two did, so you just laughed innocently. The comedians stopped at the soft ring of your voice as you smiled through your dried tears.
"Hey, she laughed! Well, it's not a lot of times we have people laughing here. Much less a girl." The albino smirked. He walked over to you and asked, "So who are you? What are you doing here?"
You blinked and answered quietly. "I'm [name], and .... " You bit your lip. "My parents were slaughtered in that incident...."
The albino frowned as yours was the first to slouch.
"Well, at least you're safe now. All that 'incident' was probably too much. But WTF. You won't have to worry about THOSE sh*theads anymore."
And he walked away. You were left with a fuming blonde, whom you assumed was Deidara and just stayed quiet. You were rather tired, and fell back asleep.
Waking up again, you were somehow moved to another room, which was much more comfortable for a lost person like you.
"You awake? Un." Recognizing the voice, you blinked at the sudden appearance of Deidara.
"Uh, yeah... Um.."
"Un?"
"So, you're Deidara, right?"
"Yeah. The masochist from earlier was Hidan. Un. Seriously, a person like him; flirting with people and acting like a jack@ss. Un." Deidara muttered the last part under his breath as he glared at the door.
"Huh...?" You sweatdropped. Deidara stopped cursing and finally glanced at you eye to eye. You were quite uncomfortable with the attention, so you broke out with a question.
"Um.. Is there something on my face....? Deidara-san...?"
After a few seconds later, said blonde looked away, kind of irritated, but he replied.
"Nothing... Leader said that you're able to join our ranks. But maybe as a maid or something. Un." And he left.
After months of being appointed as a maid for the Akatsuki (you found out the organization) you were appointed with Itachi as your mentor on learning to be a ninja. [legit] Because you apparently had the Sharingan (you didn't know how they know, not that you would figure it out anyway), Itachi trained your eyes to use genjutsu and all the other things.
Over a year or two of being with the Akatsuki, you learned to realize that Deidara had a mutual hatred for Itachi, in a way you never really noticed. After asking Sasori, he explained that Itachi had beat him in a battle before when Deidara was recruited as a member. He almost lost to his art, which was dealt with genjutsu. Ever since then, Deidara hated the Uchiha.
Which got a terrible thought roaming your head.
"Does Deidara - san hate me, too? I have Uchiha blood running in me, but..... no. I'm sure he does. He doesn't even really talk to me, and I'm sure he loathed and despised me. He sometimes ignored me, too...."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Which brought us back to reality.
"What is it...., [name]? Deidara asked, kind of nervous.
"Well, I was thinking for a year, and now I'm certain that I need to know." You answered, looking into the sky-blue eyes.
"What? Un."
"Deidara - san, do you hate me...?" Your answer almost came out in a low whisper, but luckily, Deidara caught some of it.
".... What? Why would you think that...?" Deidara asked, as he was surprised to see you looking back down, afraid of rejection. "I don't hate you, [name].... Un."
You looked back up, a few tears brimming in your eyes.
"R-really?"
"Un... Yeah... I mean sure, I've been sort of avoiding you, but..."
Deidara looked away, a light, stubborn blush on his face.
"It's just that I'm too nervous around you.. Un. And just because you're an Uchiha doesn't mean you're like that @sshole Itachi. Un."
Feeling a little embarrassed, you giggled and slowly laughed at how you were worried for nothing. Still, you could understand feeling nervous, and so you glomped your blonde, smiling like a carefree idiot.
"W-What are you doing? Un!" Deidara exclaimed, not used to your happy demeanor.
"Nothing~" You relaxed your head and smiled softly. "I'm just glad that you don't hate me."
From your uttered words, Deidara blinked and wrapped his arms around yours in a comforting manner.
"It's not like I'll ever hate you, [name]. Un."
"Heh. Well, I never dreamed of hating my dear senpai~"
