Wild Woods

Chapter 3

As we walked throught the forest we were talking. Chatting. Something behind snapped a twig. We stopped and turned around. Something growled.

I was behind everyone so i saw nothing. Then all my friends ran screaming like girls. Even the football player. They pushed me down and left me.

Then...

Then i saw it.

Yellow eyes.

They came closer.

And closer.

And closer.

I screamed.

It tried to paw me across the face but as a reflex i put my arm up to shield my face.

Then it came at me.

Head. First.

I punched it in the face.

It bit my arm

Then everything went dark.

I woke in a cave. I saw a guy.

"Hey. Im Nathan Bell."

"Oh my god! Your the guy who went missing!" I yelled.

He laughed. "Ever heard of werewolves?"

"Your kidding right?"

He looked right at me and his green eyes got brighter. Like they were... glowing?

I was fully awake now.

"What the hell?! WHAT IN THE HOLLY HELL?!"

I got up and ran the hell out of there but before I could run into the darkness arms wrapped themselves around me while grabbing my wrists.

I felt hot breath on my ear. "You need to calm down okay? I'm not going to hurt you. I just want to talk."

Okay. We'll talk. When hell freezes over!

I went for the most vulnerable and easy spot on a guy: the balls. I lifted my foot and kicked as hard as I could. He dropped me and I got up and ran.

I weaved my way through the trees. I was running out of breath but I couldn't give up now. I tripped on a root. But when I landed on my hands they were going downhill. I heard a snap behind me and a growl.

I took my only option. I pushed myself down the hill.

It was rocky and and dirt was flying up everywhere. When I tried to stop rolling I flew up in the air for a few seconds and started tumbling again.

It was getting more and more rocky. And all of a sudden pain rolled through my head and the  stars in the sky were disappearing quickly. The last things I remember happening before I passed out was seeing the moon fade and hearing an "oh crap".
