First Encounter

  All you see is an extremely skinny and tall.. Thing that looked to be in a suit, bent down with what should be its face, eye level with yours.

Your blood runs ice cold, and you are so frozen in terror all you can to is gape wide eyed and silent. You can't move. You canbarely breathe.

Moving its, previously still, hand towards you sends adrenalin rushing through your veins. You get up and run as fast as you possibly can.

Somehow you make it to your house. Not bothering to look around you rush inside and into your room, locking all the windows and closing any blinds and curtains. What just happened? He- it. It was the same thing that was in my room 2 weeks ago.. but.. how? How can it have no face? That's just not possible... right?

Before you can respond she called. "Yea?" You answer, voice quiet and distant. 'Oh my god!! Did you really see him??' Pulling the phone from your now killed ear drum you sigh shakily."I wish I hadn't..." 'Ohmigawd! What did he look like??' When you started getting worried her voice spoke up from the other side 'What are your symptoms?' " symptoms?" You ask puzzled. What does symptoms have to do with this slender man? 'Ugh! You know! The slender man symptoms. The ones that tell you if you are being targeted as his next victim..' she says maniacally. You start laughing at her ridiculousness, causing a coughing fit.'Well there's one symptom. Have you been getting sick or head aches?' When you finally stop coughing you answer her" yea.. I've been getting head aches a lot..."She made an unsurprised sound.'Uh huh.. what else?'. You think "Well besides the fact I saw him today after I randomly walked into the woods", you say very sarcastically" there's nothing....".'Nothing else? You sure?' You hesitate and she catches it.' You better tell me ( n/n)' very serious." Well.." you begin reluctantly" lately I've been having weird dreams... and waking up with leaves and dirt on me and my bed..." the line is silent."( f/n)?" Suddenly her voice pops up 'Sorry dropped the phone. But yea... those are some of the symptoms... except the dreams... those are just weird.' You glare at the phone" Well the symptoms could be easily explained." You say pointedly.( f/n) makes an unconvinced noise." They can! The head aches are because of stress with school ... the coughing could be allergies..," 'Riiight... you've like never had allergies before...' "You know I just moved her a few months ago. You know... different climate and whatever..." 'Yea.. I guess... hey sorry I got to go. Moms calling me for something.' " OK bye talk to you later" ' Yeaa ... DON'T GET KILLED BYE!' she hangs up. " really?" You put your phone down to charge and fall asleep with a feeling of being watched ...
