There are some that say nothing lasts forever and then there are those who say that love lasts forever. It is this immortality amongst us mortals that fuels the fire we use for heat. For it is true that we must have heat to survive yet it is also true that the more you feed the fire, the harder it is for the burn to heal. In the end what is left? Just scars and memories? Or is it more than this? Perhaps the scars show our bravery, our strength and our pure resilience in the face of our mortality. Perhaps the memories are a way for us to capture the love we felt so that it may be immortal. See i do not say that love lasts forever but i do say that time waits for no man so why then can we not defy mortality and time itself?
