Deviant Hunters

Encased by Thunder and Flame (Prologue)

     The village of Dundorma violently shook, with the shrieks of people erupting from all over. Civilians rushed into the gathering hall, while hunters ran for the battle arena. Thoughts flooded hunters and civilians alike. Is it one of the Elder Dragons? Fear of a monster such as Gogmazios tore through the village. Hunters ran through the battle arena, heading towards the main area.
    
     One by one, every hunter entered the large area. They covered their eyes, trying not to be blinded by the immense light emerged from the surge of thunder filling the area. Suddenly, a burst of thunder covered the entire area, along with a bellowing roar. Palicos flooded the area, dragging back several wounded hunters, with only the G-Rank hunters left standing. The hunters  jump down from the large walls, briskly charging through the mixture of rubble and grass. Another roar ripped the air, knocking all of the hunters to the ground. They look up to see a Zinogre, encased with a golden glow. With no chance to react, the hunters are quickly engaged with a crippling tail smash. Several hunters retreat in fear of defeat, while the few remaining engage.
    
     After several minutes of what seemed to be an ineffective fight, another loud explosion is heard in the distance. The hunters shield their eyes from the dust and rubble, before looking to see an enormous monster none of them had ever seen before. It had a similar size and shape to that of a Deviljho, but had a blade that burned a bright red. The monster quickly sends a series of explosions towards the hunters. Nearly all of them were wiped out, and the ones that weren't quickly evacuated to the village. The golden thunder Zinogre and unknown monster followed the hunters to the village. By the end of the day, the village was succumbed to the might of these new and ferocious monsters, with no Hunter strong enough to stop them.
