After Ridge left, I checked on Lizzy to make sure that she was okay. She was sleeping soundly in her crib and that was a good thing. She wasn't a noisy baby the way Bridget, Rick, Hope and R.J were. I smiled down at my grand daughter. She definitely will grow up to be very beautiful. It was a shame that her grandfather, Eric, hardly came to see her. Guess he was too busy with his new love, Quinn, to consider his grand daughter. After checking up on Lizzy, I made my way into the kitchen. I stopped when I saw that Rick and Maya were there laughing their heads off. I wanted to know what was so funny. Rick was putting alcohol beverages into the fridge and I wondered where in the world did he get all that from? I walked into the kitchen and that's when Rick and Maya stopped laughing.
"Don't stop laughing you two just because I'm here," I told them.
"Well you seem like you're in a better mood," Rick noticed as he continue to stack the fridge with more bottles of beer.
"Really?" I asked, because I still felt the same way as when I got up this morning.
"Truly," Rick replied. "Doesn't she seem happy Maya?"
"She does," Maya responded as she looked at me with a smile on her face. I was wondering if they were saying all this just to humor me.
"Did something happen while Maya and I were away?" Rick asked as he finally closed the fridge.
"Perhaps," I told him. "But let's not focus on me right now. What happened when you two went to Katie's?" Maya and Rick made annoyed faces. "You two did go to Katie's right?"
"Unfortunately we did," Maya replied. "Let's just say it wasn't really beneficial."
Well I could've told them that before.
"She's hurting, Mom," Rick said to me. "You need to go over there and talk to her." I know that I did but Katie's not ready to talk to me. "Mend her heart."
"That's Bill's job to do," I told Rick.
"And what's your's?" Rick wondered. "To just sit here helplessly while Katie-"
"Enough about Katie," I said and at once Rick fell silent. "I will handle her when the time is right."
Maya looked at Rick. "Your mom's right you know. If I hear your aunts name one more time, hun, I'm gonna go nuts."
Rick leaned his sharp nose, which he must've gotten from Eric's side of the family, on Maya's small nose. "A bit too late for that," He joked as they both began to laugh. They were a perfect couple.
"So who wants breakfast?" I asked as I walked over to the fridge. I opened it as four bottles of beer rolled out. I looked at Rick who smiled at me. "Where did you-?"
"Stole it from aunty," Rick answered. "There's more in the back." I looked in the back of the fridge and sure enough there were twenty bottles of beer and rum and three bottles of vodka facing me.
"You stole it from Katie?" I echoed, shocked.
"Can we call her aunty please," Rick said, "for Maya's sake."
I looked at Rick and placed my hands on my hips. I didn't know whether to be mad at him because he stole from Katie or whether to be happy that he got rid of all her alcohol beverages.
"Rick what were you thinking?" I asked, still shocked.
"I was thinking about myself," He replied as he picked up the beer bottles, shoving them back in the fridge, "and of aunty of course." I sighed because I had nothing to say to him. Just know if Katie comes here looking for her beverages, I'm telling her the truth. "Who are you texting over there?" Rick asked as he went over to Maya.
