There I was, A 16 year old boy, bleeding out somewhere in the woods near some town I barely know. Wow you must be thinking, nice way to start of a book, kill the main character. Well that's how it is, move to a new school one day and die in the woods the next, sucks to be me. But let's go back to a week ago, before I knew that this f**ked up town existed.

My name is Adam Schneider. I was 15, my birthday, four days away. I was packing my suitcase to go and get ready for the move. This was the first time I was moving that I could remember. We had apparently move when I was two, but how could I remember that? Also, this was the first time that I would be leaving for more than a week without my parents. Of course I thought, when the news came that my sister was accepted to university, my parents were already looking for a house in the area, but what happens when I get a full scholarship to a pristine high school for two years and then the university after that? They offer to drive me to the airport and tell me that they'll come get me for holidays. Thanks a lot my non-bais parent.

I went down stairs to put my suitcase in the trunk when I was stopped by my sister.

"So where is this Hydale anyways?" she asked. I could feel the power of my own annoyance flowing through me with powers so great they could smash a brick wall. This was the 6th time she had asked my this and she still doesn't know. How she is an honour student is beyond me. "I already told you, it's in Pennsylvania." I grimaced "poor little me, surrounded by fat americans for 6 years. The horrors!" Don't get me wrong, I don't hate americans, some of my family are american, but they're sooo cocky, saying that they're the best country in the world. As Christopher Titus said: "God bless America, but god help Canada put up with them". As a Canadian, I agree with that; that and what he said about learning for your parent's mistakes by using birth control.

I pushed past my sister and made my way to the car. "Boo" she called in a sing song voice. It was my nickname in the family, but I hated it. "What?" I snapped "I'll miss you" she said with fake tear and an overly dramatic voice. "Pah-lease" I said, " you're sad cause you won't have anyone to torture". She smirked, " that too". With that she went upstairs to her room. The one good thing about leaving is that I won't have to wake up in the morning to come downstairs to find that hideous thing at the kitchen table.

I finally got to the car, I had already said goodbye to everyone, so I put my stuff in the back and hopped into front seat. My dad came out of the house moments later. and with a brief nod to me, we left for the airport.

Pearson airport, the home of toronto airliners and seven hour waits. My dad parked at the front of the airport, he looked at me with a serious glare " you know where to go right?" I nodded. "Okay" he said opening the car door, "remember, there's a taxi waiting for you when you get there" he told me as I left the car. I walked to the airport as he drove off. Immediately I dug my hand into my bag and fished out my headphones. I put them on and hit play on my phone, as I did the sound of Get Scared's Don't you dare forget the sun filled my ears. I walked into line as I listened to Nicholas Mathews singing about lewd girl turned suicidal. I checked my battery, which was at 97%, seven hour wait huh I thought, bring it on. As the time past through security lines and waiting lounges, I finally boarded the plane. Phone battery power 1%, which had to of been the scariest thing I've ever seen in my life. I almost ran to my seat and yanked the charger out of my bag and plunged it into the socket right as the battery hit zero. The screen went blank. I stared at my phone in horror, was the battery dead or was it just the auto screen off. Hesitantly I touched the power button, but pulled my hands away. I had taken my headphones of my ears as I had beelined to the charger. I put them back in, only to find the sweet sound of Hatsune Miku's dubstep. I sighed with relief, my phone wasn't dead. I made a small prayer to god as a thank you for this amazing miracle that I had just witnessed.
