Chapter Five

Alena POV
I turned to my right and I was meet with a good sight a bare chest James. I started drawing lines on his chest and then I looked up at his face. I notice when he sleeps he gets this little cress in the middle of his eyebrows. I rub it away. I stroke his check a little enjoy how he looks in his sleep, he looks like a little kid that might be having a bad dream. I started to hum a song my mother use to sing, to make me fall asleep. after I've had a bad dream soon he relaxes a little more. His eyes start to open and then just starting back at me. "That was a nice song". Yeah my mother use to sing it for me when I had bad dreams sorry for waking you up last night. "No worries I couldn't sleep that well. Plus if you weren't here then I would have woken up to a nightmare. But instead I woke up to you singing". I guess that makes us even. Umm.... James do you think you could take me, to work since my car isn't working. "Sure I'll take you but I want something in return"...... What is it? "I want chocolate chip pancakes with eggs and bacon." Okay I think that could be arranged come on let's go. I get up off the bed and start walking to the door. But then something, well should say someone picked me up. And is now carrying me down the hall and stairs to the kitchen. You know I can walk. "I know but I like carrying you so to bad princess". I go to his fridge and pull out all the stuff to make pancakes and eggs while he just sits on his stool and watches. I make about twenty chocolate chip pancakes. Then I fry bacon and then eggs scrambled. I take out five plates and loaded them up with three pancakes and eggs,bacon. And set them all down in front of a stool taking five cups and putting orange juice in all of them and put it next to the plates with forks and knives with them. Right when I set the last fork down I hear three sets of feet. I make a plate for Jason just in case he comes down to eat. They all rush and sit down in their spots I grab my plate and cup and set it right next to James. James can I sit on your lap? "Sure can." He pulls me on top of his lap and we start eating with the guys. Once we all finish I look at the clock and see its eight-thirty. I have thirty minutes to get to work. I jump off of James's lap okay boys I made breakfast you guys have to clean up Alex,Adrian you two wash dishes and Lucas you clean the table and put the stuff away. "Hey how come James doesn't have to do anything." Lucas whines, because James needs to get ready. He needs to take me to work in twenty-five minutes now hurry up come on James. "Good luck boys" I hear grunts and grown in response I kept walking. Was about to get to the first step of the stairs, when James comes behind me and picks me up. Really James again "sorry princess I told you I like carrying you so deal with it". Fine what ever he stops outside my door and I go and get dressed. I threw on my work clothes and shoes. Brushed my teeth and puts my work shoes on. I have fifteen minutes to get there so I go and get james he's just putting on his shoes when I walked in. We headed down stairs well, he did while he carried me down again. I stopped by the kitchen to make sure it was cleaned and they just finished. Good job boys I'll see you later. "Wait don't we get something for doing such a great job". Hmm I did make you guys breakfast. "Aww please Alena we did such a great job". Fine what do you guys want they get in like a group huddle and then break a part. "We've decided that we would like one kiss on one of our cheeks." I heard a low growl most likely from James. Uh fine I went to Lucas gave him a kiss on his left cheek and did the same with Alex and Adrian. Now come on James I have ten minutes to get there we get inside his car. I can tell he's mad either at me or the guys, after giving him directions. We get there with five minutes to spare he turns off the car. Aww come on James don't be all mad there kisses didn't mean anything. Now can you pick me up when I call you and drop me off at home. "Yeah sure" I got out of the car but before I forget. I walk over to his side of the car, he opens the window and I peek my head inside. And give him a kiss on both his cheeks now go. And don't hurt your friends to much I walk back over to the side walk an go inside. But not before I hear James's car speeding down the street.

James POV
She's so cute when she woke up she was so scared to get in trouble. I can't believe I took her to that dinner me and my mom use to go all the time. I've been going there even after she passed away. I don't know for some reason it felt right taking her there. After we finished we went to her house it smelled a lot like beer and kinda looked trashy while. I was looking around Alena was reading something. I didn't think she wanted me to see it but I saw a glimpse of it something slut and saw a tear down her face. Whatever that was on that note made her cry I didn't pry. I know she'll trust me one day and tell me. When she asked me to spend the night at my house I was over joyed. I just hope she would sleep in my room. Sleeping with her in my arms was the best night sleep I've had in awhile. While she goes and takes a shower I call my dad he wasn't that happy I skipped school. But I told him we slept in. Of course he caught onto when I said we I told him me and Alena after I said Alena. He didn't seem all that mad anymore then I asked him about her spending the night. He told me of course and told me to remind her she's welcome anytime. I looked around her room a little then laid on her bed it smelled just like her. Finally she came out looking beautiful as ever. After I told her she's can spend the night she got back and ready to go fast. I grabbed her bag for her and we left, my phone was ringing. I was going to tell her the password but then I remember it's her initials. So I just unlocked it my self then she could answer it. Knowing it was Lucas from the ring tone I looked at her every, so often and saw her blush from something Lucas said. She asked me if the guys could come over I was okay with it. But I didn't know if she would because, the guys can be rough sometimes. She said it was alright as long as she was alright. The guys could come over she told Lucas that will be home in a little bit. She said the word home like she, thought of our house as home I would love it if it was her home. Once we got inside we were trampled by the guys she fell on top of me but then Lucas. And the guys on top of her I got maybe a tiny bit mad. That they would hurt her. Once the guys were finally off her I got up with her in my arms and put her down. She got scared and I knew she didn't like the attention so she hid behind my arm I gave the guys my best I'll kill you if you hurt her face. Finally she peaked out and said hello to everyone. We went up stairs I put her in the guest bedroom, across from mine. I didn't want her in there but I didn't want to make her feel like she has to sleep in the same bed as me. I lead her to the game room and her face was priceless she was in shock and aww of the place. She was really good at basketball and beat me finally. We sat down with guys while they played call of duty. After a couple hours she asked me in such a shy voice I knew she was only acting like this since the guys are here. When it was just me she would be screaming and dancing on the top of her lungs. I knew she would like the idea of pizza and a movie I didn't know she would be, so excited to jump into my lap. I knew the guys were looking at her and me because I'm never that nice to have that caring voice to anyone, she just blushed and hid her face in my neck. I picked her up and went down stairs so we could order pizza she left to go talk to my dad while I was on the phone. She came back a little later so the pizza would be here soon she told me to go and call the guy. While she gets everything ready me and guys were coming down the stairs right when she was going to pay. So quickly I got a fifty and paid the guy we took the pizza into the kitchen while the guys sat at the stools she was just standing eating. Until I asked her to come over to me so I picked her up sat her in my lap to eat. I was happy but trying not to be to happy with her sitting on my lap. My dad came into the kitchen saw all the guys eating and then he saw me and Alena. I think it's one of the first time my dad has seen me smile since mom died. He look at Alena with so much hope and thankful. I knew why he's hopeful that she will change me and he's thankful that she's came into our lives. Well he's right she's changing me and I'm for sure thankful I met her. We continue eating and laughing with each other. Then we all go watch a movie together she puts a walk to remember and I will not admit it but almost made me want to cry. Then I was so great full that the guys put on a scary movie. Because the first scary thing that happens she's in my arms. Hiding in the crock of my neck it was getting late already so the guys just went to there bedroom. That they stay in while there here. I stripped down to my boxers and clim in bed my bed feels all lonely without her and my arms feel like there missing something. And I know its her I'm missing her sleeping in my arms my bedroom door opens. She goes and taps me and ask if she could sleep with me I just wanted to scream out yes but instead. I open the covers for her to get in and then cover us again. She turns over and so do I and wrap my arm around her a little tight. Like if she would disappear when I was asleep and feel into a dark sleep. I felt movement but didn't pay to much attention, to it my dream well nightmare had me. I felt something on my abs that calmed me down a little and then on my face. I heard the most amazing thing ever humming while someone was touching my hair and face. Slowly my nightmare became nothing but a memory while I just started to feel peaceful and relaxed with the person humming. Slowly the humming stopped and my eyes fluttered open to meet Alena's. It was the best way to wake up me and we just sat there and talked for a little bit. She asked if I could take her to work of course I would have anyway. But it got us both up and her to make me breakfast I picked her up and walked downstairs it's true. I like carrying her makes me feel like if she's in my arms then nothing could hurt her. She finishes up and sets the table right when she finishes the guys come running down. She gets so shy and its so cute she asked me if she could sit on my lap of course she can anytime. We all finish breakfasts and she tells the guys to clean up while we get ready, I go and take a shower and dress in jeans an a black v neck. She wanted to make sure the kitchen is clean before she left. What do you know the guys actually cleaned it. I knew something was going to happen and it did the guys asked for a kiss on the cheek. Which I was pissed at the guys at. We got to her job we me having a little pout I turn off the car. She tells me not to get mad that the guys kisses didn't mean anything but I wanted a kiss, she gets out but before she goes inside she goes to my side. And gives me a kiss on each side of my cheeks and tells me don't hurt my friends to much. I watch her go inside before I take off back home I get home and see all the guys sitting on the sofa. I go to each one of them and punch them on the shoulder. There lucky that's all they get if it wasn't for Alena telling me not to hurt them to much. Then I would have punch them each ten times and harder. "Gosh James it was one kiss on the cheek did you have to hit us she probably gave you two" shut up Lucas you shouldn't have asked for one I didn't. "Hah so she did give you two" whatever bro I got to call a mechanic I'll be back. I go up to my room and get my phone and see I have missed calls from Madison but I don't give a fuck. I really like Alena so I call Madison up and tell her were breaking up for good. Then call a buddy of my dads who owns a body shop who would look at her car for me he will be over in an hour. Later he comes and tells me her transmission is damage and needs a new one which will cost a lot and her brakes need to be replaced. Basically she should just get a new car then try to fix hers.

Alena POV (12 hours later)
Uhh I'm so tried and hungry I didn't take a break at all. All I want to do is go to James house eat and then go lay down next to him. But I can't I have to go home to my abusive father. And I know he's going to be piss at me. I go and call James.
Alena: Hey James it's Alena can you pick me up from work and take me to my house?
James: Hey Alena this is really late your getting off sure I'll be there in ten
Alena: thanks James your best bye
James: I know see you soon bye
I waited inside until he came who knows what kind of people are out. There right now probably people like my dad. I get up and tell the other workers who were cleaning too and tell them bye. I walk out on the curb where James is at and get in we sat in comfortable silence I think James knew I was tried. It took us ten minutes to get to my house I opened the car door and went inside. I didn't get a chance to close the door all the way before I got punch in my face. I tried to scoot away from him but I just ended up in the conner. He just kept beating on my face but then he kicked me right were my stitches were. I couldn't hold in my screams anymore and I screamed like my life depends on it. My vision was kinda blurry but I heard the door open really loudly it hit against the wall and made a hole. My vision started to clear up and I saw James looking at me with sadness in his eyes. Then he turned to my dad, and looked at him with fury and lunged at him. James was on top of him beating the crap out of him. I limp up and see my dad unconscious but James keeps punching him. As much as my dad deserves this I can't let James punch him anymore I put my hand on James's shoulder. He looks at me and his face softens he gets up off of my dad, Hey James do you think you can catch me? The next thing I know I was falling but James caught me. "I'll always catch you princess now. Let's get you some clothes and your stuff and get out of here. This is the last time you'll be here". Okay take me to my room and you can help me pack my things and we can go home. He takes me to my room and I grab everything I need my clothes my last couple of pictures of me and my mom. And her jewelry box and my important documents I might need. I put it in my suit case that James carries to the car I take one last look a this place. And my father and think my father was just a broken man. Who couldn't get his life together after my mom died. I get in the car and sit down. I roll up my shirt to check my stitches. Luckily there still in tacked and not bleeding. Just hurts a lot I put my shirt back down and look at James. His hands are gripping the steering wheel so hard that his knuckles turn white. I scoot and sit on his lap and burry my head in his neck. I heard him breath in really deeply and let it out and relax. He takes one hand off the steering wheel and place it around my waist. We get home he stops the car and we sit there for a little bit I looked at him face to face. Are you okay James? "I should be asking you that". I'm fine nothing I can't handle is it bad that all I want is to go inside lay down in your bed and go to sleep. "No that's not bad at all now come on leave your stuff in the car and I'll carry you there". I got out of the car and so did he we walked up the little steps. To get to the front door he unlocked it right when we walked inside he picked me up carefully. We went up the stairs to his room I went and used his bathroom and brushed my teeth. I looked inside the mirror. And saw two black eyes and a bruise on my left cheek. I walked out of the bathroom, can I borrow a shirt so I can sleep. "Sure I'm going to go brush my teeth I'll be right out". He threw me the shirt he was wearing today and left inside the bathroom. I changed into the shirt and laid down on the bed the bathroom door opened and James came out. He laid down next to me I curled down to the side of him James I whispered to him. "Yeah" tomorrow when we wake up I'm want to tell you everything. But I don't want to lose you. "For one thing Alena your not going to lose me ever. I really care about you I like you". Okay I'll tell you when we wake up I snuggled in closer to him. He wrapped his arm around me I drifted off to sleep but not before I heard. "I think I love you" And he gave me kiss on the head.
