Family

Nothing was the same since that day. Since that day at the chunin exams - the day of the great mission, or rather, the day the alliance between the two great villages'; Leaf and Sand broke.
That day when they met the Leaf's number one knucklehead: Naruto Uzumaki. A genin just like the sand's Kazekage's three childern. A Jinchuriki just like him.

''I'm sorry...'' those simple two words were the start of their new life, the arriving time of change.
For who knows, what changes a knucklehead can do to a confused demon boy who loves only himself. Well, this particular shinobi did have that something - that missing piece in his life - that missing piece called love and friendship.

Love? What does that word mean? What does that word mean to someone who has never felt the slightest of the meaning, who thought pain and lonelieness is the key to make oneself exist? For ones purpose?
That was something he was incognizant in, that is something he will never know himself.

A single bright green leaf followed the winds moves and landed on a pile of sand, creating an unbreakable bond.

Three figures flew through the forest without leaving tracks by jumping from branch to branch.
One was a fifteen year old kunoichi who is also the oldest of the three. She has sand blonde hair in four ponytails and teal eyes.
The next was a fourteen year old shinobi with brown hair and dark eyes.
And the last but also the youngest of the three was a twelve year old shinobi who is also their village's Jinchuriki, who has blood red hair and green eyes with black rings around them - called Tanuki black rings.
And their names?
Temari, Kankuro and Gaara.

The sun, which was high up in the sky, was now slowly setting, creating a beautiful sunset. The usual green forest was now drenched in a mix of dark green, red and orange.
The three siblings have traveled for hours without a break and still have a long journey.
It takes three days to travel between the two villages no matter how fast you run.
For three injured youths with big weapons to carry, is not a simple task no matter how fast they are. It didn't help their cause to get home fast quick either, since their youngest brother is unconscious.

None of the two older siblings have uttered a word since Gaara apologized to them.
None of them knew why he even did it but something must have happened in the battle between Gaara and that brat - Naruto. When Temari and Kankuro found their brother, he was lying on the ground with blood on his forhead, staring at the bright sea blue sky while Naruto laid only a few feets' away from him with his teammate Sasuke Uchiha beside him.
The moment they saw Gaara, they both ran in to protect him. Both their fears of their youngest brother was gone at that moment just as it is now, at this moment as they move further away from the Leaf village.

Kankuro carried Gaara on his back, while Temari carried his puppets' on her back along with her own fan.
It's not as if he couldn't have carried the puppets' himself, it was just that he had to carry Gaara on his back so they could travel faster. He has no problem carrying both Gaara and his puppets', being as strong as he is by carrying his puppets' everywhere he goes and the jinchuriki is not so heavy at all. In fact, all that sand he carries with him is the thing that's heavy.
Temari didn't want him to carry his puppets' though, seeming as he is more exhausted than she is.

After another hour of tree - jumping in the now darkened forest, Temari paused her movements and looked at the puppet shinobi once he was besider her.

''What's wrong sis? Why did you stop?'' the puppet - ninja asked.

''I think we need to stop for the night. We're pretty far away from the leaf village, so I'm certain no one is following us. Besides..'' she said and glanced at the unconscious Jinchuriki on his back.

''Ok, fine. But we will set out once the sun arises early in the morning.''

'Like you decide that..' thought Temari but nodded. ''What shall we do with Gaara? He's the one who is in charge of the night shifts' since he doesn't sleep. But now though..?'' she pinpointed out. ''I don't want to wake him either.''
