(Hey guys, thanks for choosing this book . Hope you enjoy!- art132)

Ring ring ring!

Yay! Today is a Friday so technically now it's the WEEKEND!

As I walked out of the door to the corridor where my locker is I meet one of my best friends. Her name is Jane. So to tell you a bit about Jane, well she has brown hair and brown eyes. She's nice but can get annoying at times. On a normal Friday we say good bye at the corner of her locker just like we are now. After that I meet my younger sister on the side of the science block.

My sister also has brown hair and brown eyes, but surprisingly I have blond hair but brown eyes too. I think my sister is more related to Jane then she is to me. I mean, there both stubborn but are nice and can be really kind... sometimes!

Oh and by the way, my sister's name is Elizabeth and I'm Katherine. Anyways so today was one of those days where Elizabeth was stubborn.

I figured this VERY soon. When I realised she hadn't shown up within 5 mins. Elizabeth or as I call her Lizzy (for short)usually shows up ON TIME because every Friday dad picks us up from school, using the school drop off zone which means we have to be there within 2 minutes or they will make you Go to the back of the line or if there really mean they will send you home! But because of Elizabeth's stubbornness she decides to come 30mins late. When she finally arrives. All I can say is:

'Hurry up! Why are you late!?'

But in response she says 'whatever!'

Of course! That's all she can say. Well, as the older one I decided to be mature and let this go. As I might not have told you I am in year 9 and Lizzy is in year 7 so I do kind of have to take responsibility at times.

Anyways so as we are both walking up to the pickup zone we find that dad isn't there...... at all! I grab out my phone and call dad.... Except there isn't any reception. Then when I hang up I feel Lizzy tugging and pulling my shoulder. I slap her hand.. She screams and then yells:

'LOOK!'

As I hesitate to even think about looking I realise what she was talking about. Instead of the school drop off zone that was once there 2 seconds ago was now replaced with town that had shops that say wizardry and spells or magic and poofs!, or even one that said abracadabra!

I put my phone into my pocket, turn to see Lizzy and her reaction as we both say 'ho-ly crap'!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After our surprise and shock ness had faded away, we decide to go to the nearest shop we could find.... Which was on our right. As we do we check the sign.... 'Mmmm no sign on the front' Lizzy says as we walk up the stairs, 'this must be someone's home' I reply, hoping someone will open the door. I look around the door but soon find that there is NO doorbell, 'what century are we in?, Lizzy says. 'STOP WHINING!' I say, frustrated with her attitude. It's like she doesn't care that we were stuck in a "magical, parallel universe". 'Sooorrrryyy' Lizzy says, unconvincingly. I roll my eyes at her and turn back to the door. 'Knock, knock, knock'. I hear footsteps coming towards us. As we hear the creaky noise of the door as it opens, we see an old lady looking at us. She inspects us from top to bottom as if she thought we were familiar.
Then she says 'I've been expecting you', trying not to be freaked out, Lizzy says' and so what!, can we go in?' 'Lizzy!' I yell, how more rude could she get, as I was thinking to just slap her in the face, the old lady surprisingly says, 'Yes, come on in'. She comforts us in the attic which is quite cosy. There was a bed and right next to it is a bookshelf. Lizzy goes to the shower and whilst she was, I decided to look at the books on the shelf just to get an idea on who this creepy woman was. You would be surprised about how much you can learn about a person by looking at the books they choose to buy.
