It was a rainy day that day and I was stuck with these crazy people in this asylum. I had always wanted to be a successful psychiatrist but sometimes I just change my mind. And that day was one of those times. I started to get tired of all the screaming and crying but I had to deal with it in order to get a big paycheck.

The thing that made that day a little special was the fact that we had a new patient there at the asylum. We didn't have a clue about the new one but all these secrets were made to protect his or hers wicked mind.

"Harleen Quinzel, come to Ward 1!" That was my cue to go to meet my new patient. I got there in less than 5 minutes because the distance between Ward 3 and Ward 1 was not that big. What was really surprising was the fact that there were at least 10 policemen that made a shield for the table where my new patient was.

"Hello guys! I guess you called me to show me the new one, am I right? I said with a big smile and I waited for them to say something.

"Harleen, this is serious shit. This guy is one of the most dangerous people on the planet." One of them, Steve, told me with a stern look on his face.

"Well, I am sure that he's not at all that bad. I mean maybe he's a little crazy, but I can handle him, right?" I said happily even though I was frightened inside. Dealing with these crazy persons wasn't at all that easy.

"I guess you'll have to see the truth with your own eyes, Dr. Quinzel." Another policeman, Rick, told me and all of them moved away so I could see the new one.

My surprise was not little, to say the least. The green haired guy awoke all of my fears. His smile that was too big for the situation scared the shit out of me and all of his tattoos confirmed all of my fears. Right in front of me was the biggest criminal alive and his name was The Joker. I'm pretty sure his name wasn't this one but that's how all the people called him.

"Well hello there pretty lady. I heard that you'll be my new therapist, am I right?" He snarled.

"Uhm, y-yeah, t-that's me-e"

His face fell. "Love, before you saw me you seemed really bold. What happened? Are you afraid of me?"

"N-no, of course I'm not. I see people like you everyday." I lied straight to his face.

"Dr. Quinzel or Harley or whatever your name is I want to make a deal with you. If you ever lie to me then our 'friendship' won't work." He said with a stern look on his face.

"Mister J, my name is Harleen. And I am not looking for a friendship. I just want to figure you out. The sooner you are out there in prison, the better." I said through gritted teeth.

He started laughing maniacally saying, "Dr., you have no idea what you're getting yourself into."

"I think I have an idea or two about you. Tomorrow I'll see you in the exact same spot so we can start your treatment. Until then have a good night, Joker" I told him and turned on my heels so I could get out of there as quick as possible leaving his crazy laugh behind. Jesus, isn't he a mad man!

Going back into my office I saw my coworker, Sarah, looking at me with excitement.

"So? Who's the new guy? Is he really crazy? Is he good looking? Did he try to choke you or something?" She started to ask me.

"Easy there Sarah. Well he's really crazy. He didn't have a chance to choke me because there were like ten policemen around him. And he's my patient, I don't really give a fuck about the way he looks as long as he's crazy." I stated with a raised eyebrow.

"Alright, alright. But why the hell did he have ten policemen around him? Is he a serial killer or something?" She said with a laugh.

"He's The Joker, Sarah" I told her with a stern look on my face.

"Holy shit, Harleen! Are you serious?"

"Do I look like I'm kidding or something?" I said with a bored look on my face.

"Girl, you're in really big trouble. The guy is the biggest freak I've ever heard of. Can't you leave his case or something?"

"I already left 2 cases this month and Mr. Johnson isn't happy about it. He said that if I leave another case I'll leave this place too." I told her with an exasperated look.

"Oh, I understand... I have no idea what to say more. I hope he's going to behave, but I'm sure you're not going to be entirely alone with that psycho."

"Well, at least I hope so." I said to her before leaving my office and heading back home.

Even though Sarah was one of my closest friends, she couldn't help me even if she tried. I was stuck with the craziest man on this planet and I had no idea what to do.
