Lisa is a 14 year old girl who has never really thought highly of herself for many reasons. She's figuring life out. It's close to the end of her 8th grade year and she's just ended her friendship with her best friend, Cara. Lisa was tired of being used and knocked around by her friend that she couldn't take it anymore. She didn't like the kind of person Cara was making her so she slowly drifted away.

Being Lisa wasn't easy, she had such a low self a steam and no one would help her feel better. Lisa was always the most mature person in her group which never really helped, well she helped everyone with their problems and she was always such a good listener. Everyone was appreciative of Lisa to a point in which they might need to help her. Lisa was really all alone and she never really knew who to talk to but God and her Grandma who had passed away, she could talk to them about anything, but there was never an answer at the other end...No one to truly help her. No one listened and she was to kind to get mad.

With Cara out of the way Lisa was finally starting to lean who she wanted to be. What she or who she wanted to be. Lisa could very easily get depressed when she slowed down because she would always overthink everything around her. Lisa never truly felt like she fit in she didn't like drama especially when she knew how to correct the issue, but no one took her advice. she felt like she was at least a few years older than she really was she was always a few steps forward in her mind set than everyone else. Why did it have to be this way, she wondered all the time.

Lisa ended up in a group of girls that she never really fit in with. These girls were super nice, but, just not the kind of silly yet, mature friends she wanted. She knew if she just made it to the end of the year high school started next year and she could find people she really liked. she just had to hold out. So she did, but she grew a mind of her own along the way. She learned what she liked and what it was like to be herself in front of others. It meant a lot to her because she had gained a good amount of friends she knew she could get to know better in high school. She realized being herself got her where she wanted to be.

Lisa's older sister, Andrea was graduating and having a graduation party, so Lisa thought she would get a group of friends together during the summer. Lisa did get together with some friends and they all had a great time. She hung out with a few of them other times, but one of them Matthew ended up texting Lisa saying he liked her though he had a crush on Cara not all that long ago. So, Lisa said she just thought of them as friends. Lisa had joined the marching- unit  this year also where she met a guy she really liked,Hayden who had every quality she liked in a guy. The only problem was he was a few years older than her. It made her really frustrated because she knew that it was very likely the most he might possibly want to be was friends with her, not even good friends especially since he was a senior and she a freshman. Later, in the summer Lisa found out that her close friend Joshua had a crush on her that he had been hiding for a while. She said she just wanted to be friends because she couldn't think of him in any other way. He said he agreed and they settled things, but Joshua is good friends with Matthew who found out about this and got really mad with Joshua, who got upset and frustrated with Matthew for being so mad.

By now Lisa had formed some feeling for Matthew, but didn't want to tell him because she didn't want him getting his hopes up when she still had feelings for Hayden who was her dream guy just older. She knew if she dated Matthew she would feel like she was cheating on him. Hayden, sweet sweet Hayden had everything on the list of what she wanted, Creativity, he was interested in different things than her which left adventure,he was smart, nice, respectful, funny, headstrong, and they could talk to each other about anything.

What is Lisa to do? What will she say? Who will she choose?
