Roger-
My ears rang, my head spun rapid,& my heart; my oh so fast heart beat kept running on high, this couldn't possibly be happening right now, I already waited too long to tell her. Her. The sweetest creature to walk the Earth, she put the grace of angels to shame & the awe of the sunsetting was by far in no comparison to her. She seemed far from the mark of evil & darkness but bubbly & full of light. She was perfect, everything about her, even her flaws I found to be so attractive were others would turn away.  She always picked at her food when eating instead of diving right in, she never wanted to wear shoes, & for the good grace of god above she could never fully make up her mind as to what she wanted. I loved that, I love everything about her so much that it scares me but excites me as well. I just couldn't understand for the life of me why I picked her. We are so different; I keep everything neat & in order while she believed in a controlled chaos, I needed time were she acts impulsively, & even the way we think is entirely different. Yet we work together like the sun & moon, you can't have one without the other. I know it is a selfish thought but I wanted all of her, just for me. Focusing back to reality I tapped on the mic to get everyone's attention, this is it, this is now. I cleared my throat, "On behalf of the school I would like to thank everyone for coming out tonight to support the music program & letting the student's voices be heard." I strummed the acoustic guitar I held in my hands making sure one last time it was tuned properly. I leaned the mic down lower so I could sit in the stool placed in the middle of the stage. I looked all around the room & there she was front & center waiting to hear me sing. Her eyes lit up when she noticed I was looking at her giving me two thumbs up. I smiled turning to the mic, "I'll be singing 'Forever and Ever, Amen' by Randy Travis." I heard the crowd murmur knowing well enough that I was supposed to be singing a different song. The melody took me away & I stared right at her singing only for her. All I could hope for was that she got the message loud & clear.
