Maddy POV

*Convo with boyfriend*

*Riiinngggg*

"Hello?" Daniel said into the phone.

"It's me silly, are we still on for today?" I giggle.

"Oh, umm sorry Maddy , but some family issues came up and I can't go to the movie, sorry," He said, sounding guilty.

"It's totally fine, I get it. Hope everything goes well," I say hoping to bring the mood up.

"Thanks, but I got to go actually, sorry," He says quickly.

"Umm, okay, I love you," I say, sounding confused.

"Yep, I - uh bye," He stuttered before hanging up.

"Hmm," I say to myself. I thought it was really weird how he was acting, Daniel need usually acts like that.

*At the movie*

I decided since I still had an extra ticket, I would see the movie myself. It was actually a great movie, called "Lights Out" . Of course it was scary, but since it came out a while ago, no one was really here, so my jumps and screeches were kept to myself.

After the movie, as I was heading out of the theater complex, I head a giggle. On instinct, I look over really quick, then point my attention to my car. I immediately look back to the couple. It was Mackenzie, the most popular girl in school...... Making out with Daniel. I gasp and walk over there slowly. I puul him out of er grasp and stare as I feel tears well up.

"Some family problems, huh?" I say before slapping him across the face.

"Have fun with her you idot, and never talk to me again," I say loudly before running off to my car, and speeding home.

Nobody was home, which was good for me.
I thought of calling Sarah, or Jules but I knew they would want me to get revenge. I ouul out my phone, pressing the only contact I wanted to talk to right now.

*On the phone with Jacob*

"Hey Mads, what's up?" He says cheerfully. I feel the old feeling start to come up, the feelings way before Daniel, and suddenly feel insecure. A sob comes out of my mouth before I can stop it. I rethink my decision and hang up the phone.
I sit there, sobbing on my bathroom floor when I hear a noise from downstairs. Thinking it was my parents, I stand up and lock the door, then slide back down the wall, trying to keep the sobbing in. A couple minutes later I hear Jacob pounding on the door, begging for me to let him in.

"Maddy, what happened? Are you okay?" Jacob yells through the door.

"Maddy, unlock this door before I break it," He says, and believing him, I stand up, unlock it and jumped back. The door flew open and a pair of strong arms picked me up and twirled me around. Our bodies slid to the ground, and Jacob kept smoothing down my hair and patting my back, assuring me that everything was going to be fine.

"He c-cheated o-on me!" I hiccupped as I sobbed into his chest. 10 months with that guy and he threw it down the drain.

"I would never do something like that, he is so stupid for losing you, your an amazing, beautiful person, and any guy would be lucky to have you," By this time, I had calmed down and was just cuddling with Jacob, the familiar butterflies coming back.

"Even me" I heard him whisper, and as I looked up, his eyes were filled with complete truth, and I knew he was being sincere.

"Well.... If I'm being completely honest, Daniel was just a cover up for you," I admitted.

"What?" He smiled.

"All those ten months, I have been trying to get over you, thinking I couldn't ruin a friendship if we ever broke up. But those feelings are so strong, and I feel myself falling hard for you," I blush looking down, feeling embarrassed. He tilts my head up, so that we are centimeters apart, and whispers softly.

"I feel the same way about you, and I have for a long time. I'm falling in love with you, I know that," I smile, as our lips touch, the kiss being so soft and welcoming. I felt sparks for sure, and by the was Jacob was acting, I knew he felt it too.

*3 months later*

"I wonder where Jacob is taking me," I say, smiling.

"Girl, wherever t is, it will be amazing," Sarah stars, as Jules nods her head. They finish the last curl on my head, and lead me down to where the car was parked. On the drive, I would see us leaving town a little.

When we got to our destination, I could see the tree. "Our tree" as Jacob puts it. We go there to get away from reality and enjoy our life, together. He asked me out there, and so far, it has been the best three months of my life.

Jacob was standing there, a white rose in his hand, and I walked up the hill to the tree.
"Haply three month anniversary," he says grabbing my hands. I smile at home and hand him his present, which was the new watch he had been wanting. He smiles big, and pulls out concert tickets, for R5. I freak out and hug him, and he laughs.

We spend the rest of the evening there, eating our picnic and looking at the stars. At the end of the night, he pulls me close to him, and whispers.

"Forever," And as always I say back.

"Forever."
