I once was a young girl
Innocent and fair,
With silver grey eyes
And vibrant blonde hair.Isolated in a dark room
Visited by my father and brother,
I had no knowledge of my past
Not even my mother. As the years went by
My curiosity grew with me,
I longed for more
More about my family. It wasn't 'til a letter arrived
That I knew what I was,
I met Narcissa my mother
And headed for the station of Kings Cross.Through a solid brick wall
my future awaited,
I ran through it with my brother
The train was ghastly and dated.Across the Great Lake we travelled
Lead by a giant of a man.
See our innermost thoughts
The sorting hat can.Draco was called
The hat placed upon his head,
"Slytherin!" it shouted
My legs turned to lead."Malfoy, Phaedra"
My name was called,
The hat fell over my eyes
Forever it stalled. It said I was many things
Clever, brave, cunning and kind,
It couldn't believe what it saw
Deep in my mind.Years seemed to pass
Before it made it decision,
It said "Ahhh, Yes"
And shouted out "Slytherin!".The whole table stood up
Clapping and whistling,
I sat next to Draco
The cutlery glistening. The feast was good
But not as good as home,
I miss father and mother
I felt so alone. The prefects lead us
Far down to the dungeons,
As we walked past the potions class
The smell was pungent. We reached a wall
Covered in skulls,
The prefects addressed us
"The password is Knarl".My fellow first years
Astonished beyond measure,
Lounged on velvet green sofas
Smirking with pleasure.I parted with Draco
To take refuge in bed,
The warm cotton pillows
Rested my weary head. That sleep was the best
The best I've ever had,
And in all the excitement
I forgot to feel sad.At dawn I awoke
Dressed in less than a second,
My stomach was grumbling
The Great Hall becond. The first class of the day
Was Transfiguration,
But to my disappointment
It didn't live up to the expectation.Professor Mcgonagall
She turned into a cat,
It looked so amazing
I can't wait to learn that.Potions was next
My favourite subject by far,
But this know-it-all Granger
She thinks she's a star.Professor Snape likes Slytherin
Much more than the rest,
How could he not?
We are the best!
