John Watson stood outside of the ballet studio waiting for his sister, Harry. Normally he waited outside on the street, but today there was a really horrible thunderstorm so he came inside. The cold air of the studio mingled with John's wet skin. He shivered. He stood watching the dancers leap and twirl across the floor, when one caught his eye. John had seen a handful of male dancers in the studio before, but he had never seen him. He was tall and bony, yet surprisingly muscular. His mop of curly, black hair bounced playfully as he gracefully danced around the room. His pale faced was flushed red from dancing and his cheekbones glinted in the studio's bright lights. And John couldn't keep his eyes off of him. John had known he liked boys and girls all his life but it wasn't something he talked about. Only Harry knew. Speak of the devil... "His name's Sherlock. Didn't really think he was your type though, Johnny boy." John jumped and swung his fist around to hit his sister. "Christ, Harry! You scared me!" She chuckled," I wouldn't bother with him though. He doesn't really talk to anyone." "Shut up." She held her hands up, feigning innocence. John stuffed his hands in his coat pockets and stormed out of the studio with Harry trailing happily behind.
Of course Sherlock had noticed the short, sandy-haired boy staring at him. Sherlock noticed everything. He was intrigued, the boy was handsome.I wonder what his name is? Sherlock pondered. Doesn't matter, he wouldn't like you once he got to know you, his insecurities quickly shot down his curiosity. Still, he couldn't help but wonder about the boy who watched him dance.
John couldn't stop thinking about him. Sherlock Holmes. He had had flighting fancies on boys he had met in passing; but never had John Watson been so infatuated with a boy as he was with Sherlock Holmes. He fell asleep watching the beautiful boy dance in his head.
