Chapter 7
Lis slowly eased into her comfy looking desk chair, which kind of looked like a mini Lazy-Boy. She
looked up at me and gestured to a rickety, wooden chair across from her own. I cautiously sat down
in hopes I hadn't gotten to fat. As i sat the chair made creaking noises that worried me greatly. Then
Lis spoke " Well my dear, you certainly do have yourself a perplexing situation. And after all my
years i've found the best option to settle these things........." She paused dramatically. I leaned in
closer in anticipation for what she had to say. " I think the best thing you can do is-" There was a
loud BAM behind a curtain on the far side of the room. She looked at me apologetically then went
over to investigate the sound. She pushed the old reddish brown curtain to the side and it revealed
another door. Out of curiosity i got up and went over to where she stood.
The door looked ancient, the wood was faded and had the same writing i had seen all over this
place. the was just a little latch that opened weakly. "What is this writing I've seen everywhere and
on some peoples wands ?" I asked what i had been wondering for awhile. Her hand paused on the
latch and she said " It is the language of the mystics my dear, called Myka. They where an ancient
tribe of magickal creatures that were joined together through magick. They were the ones who
made the rules of the witches and warlocks. The ones who were told through whispers of the
Goddess what magick was and how to use it." As she told me this she had a far of look in her eyes.
Like she was remembering things from the past, and not telling me, but just recalling them.
The door suddenly banged again. I jumped in surprise, and Lis finally opened it. Revealing a very
upset looking Lillian. I gave her a surprised look and she didn't even really notice i was there. She
started talking to Lis in harsh whispers. After a few moments she turned and ran through the same
door, not even looking at me. Lis started packing up some books into a sack and said in a rushed
tone " I'm very sorry my little windflower, we must stop our visit here. I had completely forgotten my
next class. Oh dear, they must have been waiting a long time. Come on, I'll get someone to take you
to your dorm room." She pulled me through the closet again and it went up again after she
mumbled some more strange words with her wand. " So your part witch, and part elf ?" I said finally.
She looked at me in surprise. "Why, of course. Wasn't it obvious ?" I laughed and said i guess,
cause not many people have wands. She smiled then the closet elevator stop. She opened the
door and pulled me through with a stronger grip then i thought she could have. We were in a big
room, that looked like a library.
In the middle of the room was two people fighting with swords and someone else watching. The
two fighting were complete opposites, looks wise. The one that looked to be winning had a tattoo
