Tyler's POV:
"Um yes. you asked for Tyler Evans."
"We thought Tyler was a boy! This is an all boys home and I don't know if it's appropriate for her.." The parents trailed off.
"Ma'am I think I will be fine. I've been in an all-boys home before." I say and stuck out my hand to shake theirs.
"So hi nice to meet you I'm Tyler Selah Evans. I'm sixteen years old and I don't like asparagus."
"Hi sweetie I'm Steve Hasdon and this is my wife Maria Hasdon." Steve shakes my hand and Maria pulls me in for a hug.
"All right well Mr. and Mrs. Hasdon, are you okay to take Miss Evans?"
"Yes I think we will." They reply with a smile as Steve takes my bags and I thank the social worker before trailing behind Steve and Maria.
"ATTAAACK THERE IS ANOTHER FEMALE IN THE HOUSE!!!" Several voices yell and I'm bombarded with nerf bullets.
Grabbing a random gun, I rerun fire, yelling "For Narnia!!! I will destroy you all!!!!"
"BOYS THATS ENOUGH! GET EVERYONE DOWN HERE TO MEET OUR NEWEST FAMILY MEMBER NOW!" Both parents yell and the boys immediately cease fire and run.
After I situated myself on the couch, I see a long line of even more boys come in and gawk at me. Their age range seems to range from 3-18, and they all are wearing Chicago bears jerseys.
"Boys, this is Tyler. Yes she is a girl and yes she will be staying with us. No more questions please and be nice to her." They all nod with blank expressions except for the youngest looking one.
The little one gets up and tackles me, yelling "SISSEH!!!"
I fall over the side of the couch and everyone starts laughing at me. Nice going Tyler.
"Tyler, meet your thirteen new brothers. This is Luke, Blake, Matthew, Johnny, Levi, Adam, Cameron, Joseph, Jonah, Liam, Davis, Kai, and Logan here is the nugget that just attacked you."
"HI" They all yell and I sit there.
Like an idiot.
"Oh. hi guys nice to meet you all."
"Mom where is she sleeping?" One of the younger ones, I think it was Davis, asks.
"She'll have to stay in the attic for now but we will figure something out. She can't be sleeping with you boys."
"Why not mom?" One of the boys asks and the older boys snicker.
"Boys what your mother says is law and that's that."
"Okay" They all chorus and then look at me.
Cue the awkward silence.
"WANNA PLAY DINOSAURS WITH ME???" Logan asks, bouncing on the couch cushion next to me.
"Sure thing little man!" I grin and follow the toddler to a messy room with trains and dinosaurs spread out everywhere.
*that night at dinner*
"So mom I need you to sign this permission slip to go to-"
"Mom what's for breakfast?"
"I WANT CEREAL"
"Pass me the potatoes Johnny"
"Mommy can I have some more dinos?"
"Did you know that Nemo is not a type of fish but that species is actually called clownfish???"
"EVERYBODY BE QUIET!" Maria yells and everyone stops talking.
"Tyler I'm sorry you had to go through this, they usually aren't this bad." she apologizes and wipes Logan's mouth with a napkin.
"It's all right Mrs. Hadson, it's actually amusing. would you like me to do the dishes?" I chuckle and catch the sippy cup that Logan knocked over.
"That would be nice, you can call me Maria if you want sweetheart"
"Okay I'll start taking dishes then" I stand up and push back my chair, only for it to make a farting sound.
I turn around and see a whoopee cushion under my chair and I hear chuckles go around the table.
"Who put that under Tyler's chair?" Maria quietly asked.
"IT WAS LUKE'S IDEA" everyone panics and points to a grinning Luke.
His brown eyes twinkled mischievously and he said nothing.
"Luke you're seventeen, you need to stop this. You will help Tyler do the dishes and you will clean up the table." Maria says as she gets up and carries Logan upstairs with her.
"But mom-"
"And that's final!"
Luke sighs and stands up to gather the rest of the dishes as the rest of the family gets up and leaves.
"Is that really the best you've got Luke?" I ask as I turn on the faucet.
"Nope. that's just the beginning." he smirks and places a stack of plates next to me.
"You've got a long way before you impress me. I've lived in two other all boys homes before and most other foster homes I've been in are usually families with sons, not daughters. I've had my fair share of guy humor and pranks."
"Well then you haven't met us yet." he whispers into my ear and I jump.
How the hell did he get so close without me knowing it?
"Gotcha." he smirks again before setting down the last stack of dishes and then gently takes the soap and sponge from me.
"Go find Blake and he will show you your room. Ill handle the rest of the dishes, newbie."
"Um okay. Thanks Luke."
As I wander off, I turn around to see Luke studying me. His brown hair is pretty short and he's decently tall. definitely taller than me. My analytical fighters mindset kicks in as I conclude that I could take him in a fight and win without breaking a sweat.
I do that with almost every new person I meet. its just second nature. speaking of fighting, I gotta find myself a new gym to keep up with conditioning. But these people don't know who I really am.
Nobody knows who the Little Bite is outside of the ring.
Yeah, I have a stage name. it's to protect my identity and plus it boosts my mental state when I'm warming up for a match.
I finally make it to the top of the stairs and look down the long hallway. there are a million doors and I don't know whose is Blake's. This is gonna be fun.
