I told you love, that I'd be near
and always as close as I could steer.
This promise I made with all my heart,
to show you I love you and will not part.
Our love has always been strong as steel
and yet as weak as a cockateil.
as something always stands behind,
stalking on me to save the blind.
My love I know your eyes can see,
just by the way you look at me.
But if the wild should catch the tame,
my love you know, I'll be to blame.
Expressions of love can surely be thought,
but always takes two to truly be caught.
So give me a chance to show you I'm a man,
and give you the care I know that I can.
As for now, it will be just you,
to love and help with the things that you do.
But soon I'll worry for the things to be,
when instead of two, we become three.
