"Zion Project 12, your presence is required in the Queen's court." A soft, sweet voice commanded over the intercom.

That's me. I stood up from my chair and straightened my dress, why does the Queen want me? I walked down the long, marble halls. Each room was separated by a pearl dome in front of the door. The hallways were empty, the only thing that could be heard was the glide of my bare feet on the marble floors. Everyone disappears early in the morning. Even though I'm not allowed to see anyone, I hear them outside my room. Mallory says I'm not allowed out of my room while people are roaming the halls. But after the talk dies down, and the doors shut, I can leave.

I walk farther until I reach the garden door. The garden was a caved in area with a glass dome. Beautiful Piros sit on top of the glass, looking down at me. Their feathers all different shades of colors. They come and go as they please. First there's two, then three, then five, then two, then one, then none. I wish I was as free as a Piro, but I'm not. All I see are the same old marble walls, same old garden, same old room. I sighed and walked through the garden, passing the beautiful flowers. I grow them all myself. Being alone all the time makes you want to have a hobby. My favorite flowers are Grameliehs.

Through the garden, I walked down another hallway that looked just like the rest, except at the end of this hallway there were a pair of large doors that stood as tall as the Queen, with guards in front of them. Their hats tipped over their eyes.

This is it, my Queen's court. The guards turned and opened the tall doors for me. There she was, my Queen, Allura, standing gracefully in front of me. Her beautiful, long, dark hair laid perfectly on her shoulders. The back of her gown was open, and on her back was the birthmark of The Royal Family, a large, brown diamond. It blended perfectly with her light brown skin. She turned around to me. Her hair flipped and covered her back. Her crown was so bright it almost blinded me. Although I couldn't look directly at it, I noticed it had a bright jewel in the center. Allura stood as tall as 7 stories.

"Zion, my beautiful, little creation." She walked closer to me and bent down. She caressed my cheek then laid her hand on the floor next to me. I sat in her palm. She turned and walked up to her throne. She set me on a smaller chair next to her head. Behind her throne was a large window. This is the most I've ever seen of Erin. Light shined through-out the beautiful world.

"I have a very special mission for you." She stared out the window at the people. Her face is so beautiful. From every angle she's perfect.

"Yes, my Queen?" I turned to her.

"It's better if I show you." She reached to me and touched my shoulder.

I saw it, I saw everything. It played like it was right in front of me. The starving, the desperation, the dying. The people!

A tear ran down my cheek and I shook her hand away. I couldn't bear to see anymore, but I know the memory will forever be imprinted in my mind.

"Why is Erin dying?" I wiped my face.

My Queen turned to the window, "Erin's main source of life is our planet egg. It's the core of our planet. It provides life to our trees, makes our water run, and gives life to the people. And our egg is dying. We must get a new egg before Erin..." Her voice cracked and her eyes started to tear up.

"You need my help with this?" I broke the silence. My heart started racing.

She nodded and wiped her eyes.

"My queen, I do not doubt your decision, but don't you think I'm not skilled enough for a mission like this?" I tried to catch her eyes for contact.

"That is something you must figure out for yourself, while you're on Earth." She turned to me, "Your mission is to go to Earth, dive into the core, and remove the egg. The egg will restore everything on Erin. You will be escorted with one of my heavily guarded, heavily armored ships. My team will provide you with everything you need. Are you up for this mission?" She turned her head to me. Her hair moved flawlessly with her, her multicolored eyes pierced through my head.

"T-This is a lot of pressure on me." I looked down.

"Oh." Her expression completely changed from serious to sad. She looked down at her jewelry on her fingers.

I can not fail my Queen, "I'll do it."

"Excellent!" She said full of excitement and clasped her hands together, "Return to my room at dusk." She smiled and looked outside, "You may leave."

I bowed to her and walked back outside. As soon as the door shut behind me, I started shaking. The Queen, wants me, Zion, the girl who knows nothing outside the palace, to go to Earth? I don't even know where that is. I've never even been outside the palace! While I was speed walking, I didn't pay attention and ran into the maid, Mallory.

"Sorry, Mallory, I'm just in a bundle of emotions right now." I helped her stand up.

"It's okay, darling." She grabbed some books that she dropped and smiled. Her wrinkles creased over her whole face.

I've only been able to read about Erin, I've never seen anyone besides the people in the palace. From what I've been taught, there are a small group of Ekdiezians that have special abilities or traits, called "The Almighty". Each having a special meaning to their name telling you what ability or trait they had. I'm one of these people, "Zion" means elemental, and I have elemental powers. "Mallory" means unlucky. Convenient. Mallory was old, wrinkly, and very shaky. The people of Erin don't age, they live off the Planet Egg, which gives them everlasting life. Mallory lived on luck alone, and she is pretty unlucky. Despite her imperfections, Mallory was like a mom to me, she taught me everything I know about Erin, and how to use my powers. I felt safe around her.

"It's good to be excited, but take a deep breath and slow down, dear." She hugged me to calm me down. I took a deep breath and continued to my room.

I shut the door and sat in my chair. I stared at my room. Nothing special. I had a desk where I did my work, my comfy chair, a pile of newspapers, Mallory secretly brings them to me so I can see what's going on outside, my closet, and a bed. The people of Erin don't need to sleep, but I just wanted something that makes my room look more full. It was also very comfy just to lay on sometimes. I sat and thought about my mission. I started writing about what I think Earth is like. I wonder if it's full of tall grass, or just a huge body of water. The more I thought about it, the more I wondered why the Queen would choose me. Usually, she would sent her trained, more smarter warriors on missions. I would always hear them getting ready or their loud ship leaving the palace. The more I thought about it, the faster time passed. It was almost dusk. I dressed in my gown and speed walked to The Queen's room. My feet skidded across the floor, I was very nervous. When I approached the door, I took a deep breath and opened both doors slowly.

She turned her chair to me.

"Are you aware on how important you are, Zion?" Her gaze turned down to me.

I shook my head no.

"You are very important to me. I cannot just send anyone on this mission."

I lit up with those first words.

'You are very important to me.'

She turned back to the window, "I need you specifically for this mission, my warriors are not capable of taking an egg as powerful as Earth's egg. You, Zion, are the only Ekdiezian who can do this. The egg is very strong, and no one else can hold the power other than you. After you have arrived, you are to dive to the core and take the planet egg. You will place the egg in a capsule and bring it home. Once we have the egg, our planet will have more power, and our people will live. The people of Erin need you, Zion. It is up to you to save us. Is that clear?"

"Yes, my Queen." I bowed before her.

She nodded, signaling me to leave. I got up and walked to the door.

"And Zion," I turned around, "You leave tomorrow at dawn. I will have a ship ready for you."

I nodded and left her room. The loud slam of the doors made me jump. It's dark outside now, but I'm going to see if my bestfriend, Vehk, is awake.
