Chapter 7: Holloween

|Sorry it's so short and plain, but I hope you guys enjoy it! Oh! And with what Gene does, it is what I'd imagine he'd be like as an adult. Even though he was a buttface in highschool doesn't mean he's one as an adult! After all, we haven't seen him in MyStreet or Love Love Paradise (I don't think so anyway :/) so who are we to judge how he acts? Anywho, it's just how I depicted him. Hope you guys enjoy! October 31st, 2016, 6:34 p.m.

"Aaand done! Hehe! Alright Melody, you're 100% Muffin-fied!" Aphmau told her.

Melody opened her eyes and looked in the mirror. She gasped. Her brown hair was blonde, and she wore a mailmare outfit: A blue quarter inch button up, tan shorts, tall socks with tennis shoes, and her hair was in a ponytail, but strands were porposely hanging from either side, and she had pretty bangs too the stuck out from her blue baseball cap. One the shirt, 7 bubbles were embroidered onto the pocket, and a muffin buckle for the bag was customly made. The bag was a large brown satchel that said MailMare Delivery Service. Melody smiled.

"Thank you Miss Aphmau! I look so cool!" She giggled.

"I'm glad you like it. Now come on, it's almost dark! Let's go collect some candy!"

"Hehehe! Okay! Is Papa coming too?"

"He's staying here to give candy to other kids! Come on, your friends are waiting!"

"Oh! Okay!"

Melody and Aphmau headed out to where her friends were waiting in the foyer. Alexis was wearing a pony costume too: She was dressed as Scoots, including protective gear like a helmet, elbow and knee pads, and gloves. Kyle was wearing a light suit of mideval armor with a toy sword and shield too. Levin, as promised, was wearing a blue suit with superman's S on the diamond shaped chest piece. A red cape was velcroed on and his hair was curled at the edge. He smiled at her.

"Alright, little trick or treaters, ready to get some candy?" Aphmau asked.

"Ya!" They all shouted.

"Let's go!" She opened the door and marched out sillily in her costume, which Melody couldn't reconise or discribe.

"Ladies first." Levin bowed curtiously.

Melody and Alexis giggled and they followed after, Kyle closing the door after all of them. House after house they went to, and were given candy on most of them. Kawaii~Chan was giving out doughnuts instead of candy, they were chocolate iced and marshmallow cream filled. They finished the doughnuts before continuing.

After a few hours, Melody started to become tired and Aphmau and her began to walk her friends home. There were a few teenagers and adults out Trick-Or-Treating too. A few of their costumes spooked her, but there was one in particular that made her scream, this was as they were walking home.

As they were walking, an adult jumped out of the bushes in front of them, saying "Boo!" and then laughed. When he did, it scared Melody so bad that she screamed. His costume was what scared her even more: His hair was dark and shaggy, a fake stubble on his cheeks like a beard, with a well done makeup scar. He wore a black leather jacket and blue jeans with black boots. Just like Melody's father.

Just like Jackson.

Melody became so scared she hid behind Aphmau, her breath shaky as well as her body, she felt tears threatening to escape.

"Look what you did, Gene! You scared the poor girl!" Aphmau scolded him. Gene rubbed the back of his neck embarrassingly.

"Ah, geez kid, I didn't mean to scare you that bad, sorry." He knelt down, taking off his jacket, as it was quite hot that night. He was wearing a green shirt underneath. He smiled gently at her. "It's okay, I'm not going to hurt you. What's you're name?"

"M-M-Melody, y-you l-looked like, like Jackson..."

"Jackson Foxel?" He asked in surprise.

"Mmhmm, he was m-my old Papa, n-now I have a better one. His name is Z-Zane." Melody's little heart started to slow down and now she was just shy.

"Zane huh? Well kid, I can't believe a sweet thing like you was ever around Jackson." He smiled at her, and she smiled back. "And she even has a winner smile! Look at that! I'd say you just smiled all the monsters away!"

"Gene, she's not 5. She's 11 years old!" Aphmau teased him.

"Really? Wow, you're short like Aph!" This comment got Gene a good thump on the head from Aphmau. "Ow..."

Gene and Aphmau caught up a little before going their separate ways, but not before Gene offered to be a babysitter for Melody whenever Zane and she went on a date. Melody didn't seem to mind, and she yawned, exsausted. Aphmau picked her up and carried the poor girl home. When they arrived, Melody put her candy on the counter and got ready for bed, was read a bedtime story, tucked in, and fell asleep, snuggling her new stuffed animal.
