Chapter 30

Melanie's POV:

I ran my hands through my hair and slowly walked back to IHOP.

"Hey what happened? Where's Demi?" Dallas asked.

"She um, she went back home, I'm gonna go too, I'll see you guys soon okay"

I pulled 50 dollars out of my pocket and placed it on the table.

"Melanie no I'll pay" Eddie said trying to give me the money back.

I shook my head and just walked back out of IHOP and walked down the road To go home.

I walked into my new house and I just felt empty.

My tv was still in its box, my sofas still had the cellophane on them, my beds had no sheets or bedding, there was no food in the house, all my clothes were at Demi's.

I ran my hand through my hair standing up and walking back out the house.

I went and bought some bedding and food and got a taxi back home.

I put the food away and sheets on the bed.

"I cannot do this" I mumbled to myself.

"I'm not going over there, not yet she needs time to cool off" I said to myself.

I walked downstairs and into the kitchen to occupy myself to pass some time, I made lemon drizzle bars and heart shaped cookies. By the time both had come out of the oven it was 3pm.

"It's still so early" I groaned.

I made up a cupcake mix putting them in the oven while i decorated the cookies with I'm sorry's and i love you's.

I decorated the cupcakes making it another hour so it was just gone 4.

I sighed placing 6 cupcakes and 6 cookies on a plate and walking along to Demi's, I placed the plate on the doorstep ringing the bell and walking back to the house.

I picked up a box that got delivered this morning with my guitar in it.

I sat down and started plucking the strings.

I set out on a narrow way many years ago

Hoping I would find true love along the broken road

But I got lost a time or two

Wiped my brow and kept pushing through

I couldn't see how every sign pointed straight to you.
