A phoenix like fox,
Hear me sing.
Day bright,
Day break,
I awake at sunrise,
my bones crack and align.
I sing in my mind of
a secret lover,
someone I have come to look
to for hope,
I pretend to call her my lover,
The one who has been my best friend.
Days are brighter,
nights grow shorter,
when adding a snare to my drum.
Her name is Kirsten,
I will sing of her even as I am deceived,
as long as I am had...
like she's always wanted.
A chapter comes to a close,
A new light appears to resound,
reverb to a heart beating in isolation
in my chest.
I was lost,
listening to an echo barely there,
Luna forgive me,
Gods forgive me,
Yrlana forgive me,
I was was being given someone I
Couldn't see,
I'll pretend to see her now,
as she sees into me and,
makes me believe she understands the life I will uphold,
and then throw me away without notice
for being Alice.
From the rubble rouses a phoenix waiting to spring,
From the rubble rises a phoenix,
I am that phoenix instilled in "we" the beings in
this world,
I rise after I sunder,
For you, dear me,
Hear me sing.
