“I hope you have a nice day” I said and smiled as I handed a large middle aged man a towel as he came into Work-it the gym where I work.

“HOPE” I heard Mr. Baitman shout from his office “YOU CAN HAVE YOUR BREAK NOW”

He always seems to be shouting’ I thought as I grabbed my coat and walked out passing Halle on the way in

“Morning Hun” she said as she passed with a smile,

‘And she always seems to be smiling’ I thought as I instinctive smiled back. I was out of the gym now. Heading towards the fountain where I always sat at my break, surrounded by families and happy couples. I decided to start my home work; we had to find out about a Venetian merchant traveller called Marco Polo. When I had asked my sister, Faith, about it she had thought I meant a game where children shout out Marco and wait for their friend to reply with polo to try and find them.

With this in mind “MARCO” I shouted into the busy shopping centre around me, a few people turned round to look at me strangely ‘look at the floor’ I thought ‘you just made a massive fool of your self’ I was considering moving to a quieter spot where I wouldn’t suddenly yell a Venetian merchant travellers name randomly when I heard

“POLO” being yelled back. I looked around to see if anyone had noticed.

“MARCO?” I shouted back. I pushed my lunch off my lap and onto the side

“POLO” I stood up and started pushing my way in the direction it was coming from still yelling “MARCO” into the crowd. “POLO” it was getting closer as I pushed through groups of people trying to get to the mystery person also shouting into a busy shopping centre

“MARCO” I yelled straining my ears for the reply

“polo” I heard behind me, I turned to see a tall lanky boy.

“hey?” I said looking up at him with a raised eye brow

“hi Marco” lanky boy grinned back at me

“hello there polo” I smiled

“who are you?” lanky boy asked sitting down on the floor by a bench motioning for me to sit

“well” I said sitting down on the bench lanky boy was leaning on “you know that girl in work-it who stands just inside the door smiling and saying good morning or afternoon? Well when she says that she’s wishing that you fall and hurt your self on your work out”

“cool, you work in work-it?”

“yeah… wait who are you?”

“well if you walk down there” he said pointing in a vague direction “and look very carefully you will see a small clock fixing shop, the boy behind the counter looking bored yeah when he tells you to wait just a minute he hopes you get just as bored as he is waiting that you leave so he can carry on sleeping”

“im hope” I found my self saying

“Blaze” he replied with a goofy smile “lunch?”

“Darn” I said suddenly and was already pushing back though the crowd. I had left my lunch back on the fountain back before I turned crazy and was randomly meeting up with crazy boys in shopping centres on my break. I got back to the place where I had been sitting on the fountain. “Hells teeth and buckets of blood” I said running my hand trough my hair. It had all gone.

“what? Hope? What’s happened?” Blaze had followed me through the crowds

“I left my lunch here when I got distracted by you and Marco polo and now its gone, darn you why did you have to reply?” I said looking down at the spot only 10 minutes earlier I had been sitting at.

“Im…im sorry hope” blaze said turning as if to go

“no blaze, im sorry it’s not your fault but why did you reply?”

“I was bored and I had nothing better to do so I thought might as well meet random crazy lunchless girls” I couldn’t help but smile at him “come on I’ll buy you lunch” he said putting his arm over my shoulders. Blaze steered me in the direction of the food court, I had to run to keep up with his long legged lollop

“how do I know your not some crazy dude who just wants to take me to get lunch then kidnap me?”

Blaze laughed “really hope? I just pushed through crowds of people to follow you”

“stalker” I said as I grinned up at him.
