“Hope? Is that you” I heard nanny Kiri say as I walked in
“whats that dear? Who’s there?” said nanny dru. Nanny kiri was mums mum and nanny dru was mums aunt but they had always looked after us after mums death. They were all I could really remember, them looking after us in the Squeaky Cow with Teddy the cat. I don’t remember ever living in a real house and the first time I went to a friend’s house I was shocked because I had thought that everyone lived in house boats with their nannies.
“hiya nanny kiri” I said as I kissed her on the head.
Faith looked up from changing sunnys nappy “whats up with you? You’re positively glowing” she said
“nothing, nothing at all” I replyed whilst going up to my bed room. This was bassicly a really big shelf with a mattress and a stand for all my things. I can’t stand up in my room, but it’s the best room in the world. It used to be faiths and I used to sleep on the sofa then she had her baby sunny so had to look after him. So now shes in the bunk beds with our younger sister destiny and sunnys cot is in with them.
“HOPE HOPE HOPE HOPE HOPE HOPE” I heard being screamed from downstairs as destiny arrived home from a friends house I poked my head down “we saw you in the food court with a boy today and he had his arm over your shoulders then he sang to you” she said. in her annoying little sister way she had seen me with blaze
“whats that? hope was in a royal court singing?” asked nanny dru picking her moment to wake up. With her bad hearing it can be quite interesting what she hears from a normal conversation.
“no nanny dru I was in the food court with a friend and we were joking around that’s all” I felt my self going bright red
“ I thought your only friends are April and june and they are both girls and junes in america” said destiny helpfully
“and this ‘friend’ had his arm over your shoulders” said faith with a raised eye brow
“he’s…he’s…he’s…” I started to say but I didn’t know how I was going to finish the sentence really
“he’s? what exactly?” said faith again
“im sure he is none of your business faith, hope has just got herself a new friend that’s all now leave her alone we didn’t question you when you came home with a Sunday in your stomach so give her the respect she gave you” said nanny kiri looking up from her knitting
“thank you nanny kiri” I said whist scutterling away back to my room.
When I was there I clicked on my laptop. Even though we live on a house boat we still got really good signal. I lay back on my bed trying to make sense of what had happened today. I noticed june was online so I quickly told her how much I missed her being here and how unfair it was that she moved to America leaving me on my own with only April whist I was left at home bored with only a holiday job to entertain me. Then I went on to tell about my very strange day. I hoped she would see it soon and reply by tomorrow as I had no idea what I was going to do if I did meet blaze again or if my family saw him again. With all theses thoughts going round my head I let peaceful sleep drift in and restless thoughts drift out.
