A Summer Of Songs.

My alarm was going off in my ear. I tried to turn over and get back to sleep when I realised that I had to get up for work. I literally jumped out of bad and shoved on my work cloths. I jumped down onto the main floor of the squeaky cow and grabbed a breakfast bar off the side and shouted bye to my sleeping family and was surprised to find Blaze sat outside in Florida

“hello? What are you doing here?” I asked confused I needed to go soon I was going to be late

“your always complaining about the bus and this will be quicker so hop in” blaze said opening the door for me

I got in “erm okay then lets go” I was still half asleep and not sure if this was dream or reality. If Blazes turned into some dragon then I knew it was a dream, but it didn’t look like it was so I leant back and relaxed in Florida.

“wait hope, don’t fall asleep” said blaze as he pushed a CD into the CD player in his car.

“what? why? Hey I know this song” I said sitting up “I love this song” I listened to the opening of nickleback never gonna be alone and sat back again

“listen to the lyrics” blaze said humming along to it. For the first time in a long time I listened to the lyrics of a song.

Blaze put his hand on mine and I realised why he wanted me to listen, he meant every word to me.

“blaze?” I said quietly as we stopped in the car park

“yeah?” he looked concerned as if he was scared he had done something wrong.

“that was amazing and I will remember you every time I listen to that song” I said

“that was the idea” blaze said a huge grin on his face. “wait give me your phone”

“what? why?” I felt slow today I seemed to be asking why a lot

“so that you can text me when your done and I will come pick you up” said blaze

“but doesn’t that use up lots of petrol and your going out of the way for me” I said as I handed my phone over

“hope” blaze said handing it back after tapping I some numbers “I would walk across the world for you”

“then your feet would hurt and all you would want me to do is a foot rub” I said smiling

“shh you.” He said putting his finger on my lips “text me when your done and I will come pick you up and then you can come meet my family if you like?”

“erm sure but I look rubbish”

“you look beautiful”

I got out of his car with a massive smile on my face and I knew I could face this day now that he was the reward at the end of it.

“whoa now what is up with you?” asked Halle as we got everything sorted at work

“nothing im just in a good mood”

“you are never in a good mood in the mornings”

“am I not? I don’t notice?” I said smiling

“yeah you are normally a monster in the mornings Aprils much nicer I always dread the days your in first, you get better throughout the day but the first few customers are very unfortunate to have you wishing them a good morning with a scowl on your face and giving them death stairs when their backs are turned.”

“oh my gosh I didn’t know I was that bad” I said laughing

“oh you are but ever since that boys been hanging around you, you have been better” said Halle nudging into me “who is he then dish the dirt”

“oh him” I said trying to stop myself smiling uncontrollably as I remembered what he had done for me this morning

“Who? who? Who? Tell me woman” Halle said grabbing my shoulders causing me to drop all the towels I had been holding

“Halle! Help me pick these up now” I said laughing, although Halle was about 5 years older than April and i she was a good laugh, and she was like an older sister to me, I defiantly preferred her to my real older sister.
