Oh Glory!

Brendon was nosy as heck. If you knew him, you'd know that. Though, Brendon tried not to be as nosy throughout the years, he can't help it. It makes him feel bad, but he subtly tries to peek in. Like I said, he can't help it. Walking around the park, he slid by behind the bench the smaller male was seated on.

He couldn't control himself as he peeked over, looking at the notepad he held in his hands, holding a pen with black ink. There were little doodles of objects and people on the paper. It was a cute style. Sorta like Dallon's, but less comic-y and more cartoony. The brunette couldn't handle the thought running through his head when the blonde wrote the words in messy, kid-like handwriting,'don't worry!!! you can beat your anxiety!!! it'll get better.' Now that's something Brendon needed in his life. He needed that boy's handwriting painted all over his walls, framed around with the messy doodles of dogs and cats and people who he didn't recognize. The thoughts of this made his heart go wild because he barely knew this boy-- no he didn't know him AT ALL.

The boy must've smelled his coffee or at least sensed Brendon was there because he froze up noticeably, putting away his pen and flipping his notepad shut. Brendon nearly ran out of air knowing he was caught. Turning his head and quickly scurrying off, the brunette stared forward, his heart racing faster than ever. Shit, was that rude of him? Staring at this stranger? Oh god, it probably was. Brendon inhaled, feeling embarrassment and nervousness wash over him like a tidal wave. He hated this feeling, and he knew he was gonna look back at this moment and cringe.

Though, he just had this curiosity buried inside of him for that boy. That boy he knew nothing about, just his anxiety, that he doodles, and he's blonde and a bit chubby. God, he wanted to know everything about him.

This was all so crazy, but maybe he could try and talk to him sometime. He didn't believe in love at first sight, as far as he knew. He just thought that this boy was pretty cute and mysterious. That's all. The hat he wore covered his eyes, but not like he would've stared at his face long enough until he could see through the darkness that blocked his eyes. Brendon blushed deeply, sighing. He should stop thinking about this. He tried not to seize up when he noticed the boy, looking over at him, he could just feel his eyes right on him. He felt crazy, you can't fall in love with someone you don't even know.

"Do you think we'll talk again?"

"Dude."

"I mean, I ran into him, we didn't talk but like, he had such pretty hair and style, his handwriting was adorable and childlike. God, what if he is a child? He had like a soft face and his skin looked soft, and he looked short-ish.."

"Okay, now you're getting a bit creepy."

"Dude, I'm sure it'll all pass, he's just a stranger."

The sky was bright, at the peek where the sun was just about to set. Spencer, Dallon, and Kenny were listening to Brendon as he rambled on and on, listening to his scattered thoughts and worries. They called Ryan up too, but he didn't answer, so they just assumed he was asleep. That's besides the point. Brendon felt out of his mind, trying to let his friends' words comfort him as they told him he might or may not meet the boy, that maybe it could just be this emotional side of him talking. "Okay, dude, but like he was there while we was anxious, maybe he'll be back tomorrow to just hang around, to just admire the place like how I do. I think I'm gonna go back tomorrow, same time."

"Will Ryan let you?"

"Maybe. For the sake of love! Ryan's a sucker for love." He said dramatically, swooning.
The others just rolled their eyes, Kenny lightly scoffing. "You don't even know him, neither of you said 'Hi'! The only thing you know about him is his physical appearance and handwriting!" Spencer complained, trying to reason with the boy.

"I know that he has anxiety!" Brendon argued right back. He probably was in denial back at the park, but gosh. Now that he was embracing it and letting it out to his friends, he felt as if something bloomed inside him. "Do you even believe in love at first sight?" Dallon blurted out.

"Do you?" The brunette shot back, childishly.  "Uh... Yeah.." Dallon muttered, defeated.

"Exactly, so you can't argue about this with me."

"A cute twink isn't going to fall for some emo guy wearing makeup and costumes on a non-special occasion." Spencer pointed out, shaking his head slightly as he said the words. He did have a point, sorta.

"Don't call him a twink!" Brendon huffed. He appreciated the guys' feedback, but the way they treated it was ridiculous, to him at least. He knew it was love at first sight, and he just needed to see the boy's face. He needed to hear his voice, to see the way he wrote in that black, thin ink as a way of encouragement, messy as if he didn't care at all. He wasn't sure why he was so interested in this. "I'm also a sucker for love," Kenny brought up,"So I mean, go for it if you wanna go meet the one and only Cinderella, but just so you know, you have to think real. You don't know how old this kid is, you don't know if he'll pull out some pepper spray and spray it in your eyes!" He told him, causing the others to laugh. This time, Brendon was the one to roll his eyes.

"I'm gonna talk to him guys. It's my duty as 'Prince Charming' to check out these cute boys around here because you don't see them everyday." "Are you saying we're not cute?" Dallon whined jokingly. "Oh, well of course you are Dally poo! Daddy's just trying to find someone he's interested in, unlike you," the brunette stated, speaking in a baby voice. The guys laughed once again whilst the oldest one pouted.

The cafe was still pretty slow with business, Brendon noticed a few new customers who arrived, and the ones he saw earlier left. He only came back to complain to his friends about this kid. "Look, my shift ends soon, and I'm sure so does Dallon's, so let's make fun of Bren over text soon, okay?" Kenny said, a smile still plastered on his face. "Oh c'mon, mine doesn't end until about 6!" Spencer whined. "Your fault for deciding that you wanted a later shift." "We shouldn't torture Ryan with our spam when he wakes up dude, he'd be so pissed." Brendon snorted in amusement, leaning against the counter. "His fault for being asleep!" Whilst the sun was getting dimmer, the sky turning a grey-ish sorta blue, the boys just laughed and laughed until they ran out of things to laugh about. "Alright then, I'll get going soon. I already finished your lame ass coffee and my favorite show comes on soon." "Alright! Have fun with watching Gilmore Girls!" Dallon exclaimed, the two others snickering as they waved goodbye to Brendon.

"Oh shut up."

He totally meant American Horror Story, NOT Gilmore Girls.
