Hi! @Mikayla282 asked for me to write sick BabyGirl so here it is! :-)
------
As BabyGirl woke up from a long, peaceful night, she still felt tired. She twisted and turned, trying to find a comfortable position to go back to sleep but at the same time Daddy was getting up to get her ready for the day. He came in and turned on her room light, BabyGirl hiding under her blanket as if she was a vampire afraid of the sun. Daddy chuckled a little before rocking her by the shoulder slightly."Sweetie... Time to wake up..." Daddy said, trying to pull the blankets off her. She just grabbed them and yanked the soft square of fabric back over herself. She grunted at the thought of the cold that was outside the boundaries of the blanket.
"No... Tired.. Sleep.." She groaned, her throat, she realized, sore. She groaned even more.
"Tired? How are you tired BabyGirl? You went to bed early last night.." He asked her, some concern in his voice. She groaned, not wanting to talk and irritate her voice more. Daddy placed his hand on her forehead, after pulling back her blankets, noting the fact that he felt heat before he even touched her. He removed his hand, BabyGirl soon after pulled the blankets over herself again. Daddy rubbed her shoulder through the blanket.
"How do you feel BabyGirl?..." He asked her.
"Like shit.." She complained. Daddy sighed.
"Just because you don't feel good doesn't mean you get to break the rules. Now, how do you feel?" He asked again. She rolled over and looked at him.
"Très mauvais, Papa... " She said in French. Daddy cupped her check lightly before getting up.
"Okay. I'm going to make some soup to help with your throat." Daddy replied.
"Okay." She said, rolling back over to face the wall. Daddy smiled before turning her light off after tucking her in some and then went downstairs to the kitchen. He gathered the ingredients and a pot to make chicken soup, knowing that was her favorite and the best to help her cold, mentally checking the ingredients off as he went.
Chicken broth, chicken strips, pepper, small pot...
As he finished collecting the items he heard the fast pitter-patter of feet upstairs. Soon after he heard the distinctive sound of throwing up. He quickly made his way up the stairs and to the bathroom down the hall and inside. BabyGirl was just finishing throwing up whatever was left in her stomach from dinner last night.
"Feel any better BabyGirl?" Daddy asked her, picking her up when he was sure she was finished. She shook her head.
"No.." She told him, wrapping around him, resting her head on his shoulder.
"Tummy hurts..." She said, closing her tired and slightly puffy eyes. Daddy carried her downstairs and to the living room before lying her down on the couch.
"Daddy's gonna get you a warm blanket okay?" He said. BabyGirl nodded.
"An' Girrafie please, Daddy?" She asked, wanting to have her stuffed Giraffe. He nodded and smiled.
"Sure, Sweetie." He said before going up stairs and grabbing her warmest blanket and stuffed Giraffe before heading back downstairs and handing the animal to her. He then swaddled her tightly in the blanket.
"Do you still want soup, BabyGirl?" He asked, brushing hair out of her face. She shook her head.
"Me tummy no feel good..." She told him again.
"I know but the soup might help make you feel better. And it'll help your medicine go down." He said, really wanting her to have some nutrients in her body.
"Okay... Chicken soup?" She asked. "Wit' lots chicken?"
Daddy smiled. "Sure, Sweetie."
