The plane had landed with no action. But that peace wouldn't last long. They were in the lobby. So close to the outside.
"Okay, we got a cab coming to pick us up. Nate, wheelchair." Steph pointed to a set of wheelchairs that people could use.
"I can walk!" Nate argued.
"Yes, but slowly. You'll slow us down. It's faster this way." She tried to convince Nate to get in the wheelchair, but it eventually just changed into the previous fight.
Mark, knowing that there was no way that Nate would win this fight, sat down in the lobby. A man sat down beside him. He had shaggy blond hair resting on his head, yet he still looked very put together. He had bright blue eyes, that almost looked fake. Somehow, his image felt very familiar to Mark.
"Nice glasses." The man said.
Mark readjusted them. "Oh, thanks."
"I myself use contacts. I mean, when everyone in your family wears glasses, you gotta be unique." He joked.
"You're whole family?" Asked Mark.
"Oh no, not my WHOLE family. Most of them. My mom, my dad, my uncle, my little brother."
"You have a brother?"
"Yeah, great kid. He's at the top of his class. His name's Thomas, have you met him?" Asked the man.
"No, I haven't. I'm from America, so..."
"So are we! We just came here because... our business moved us to an alternate location." Said the man.
Alternate location. Suddenly, Mark remembered that one call from the night that Matt, Steph and Nate were kidnapped.
"Slow down, what's wrong?" Mark said.
"I called the police! I called them! I saw them both! Stephanie, Nate, they were there! And he was talking to Matt! He told me to call the police if something went wrong!" He said. He was hyperventilating.
"Wait, what? What do you mean you saw them? Where did you see them? What happened to them?" Mark, though confused, tried his best to calm him down.
"The red room. They were at the red room. They kidnapped Nate and Stephanie! And... oh my god, did they get Matt too?" He was breathing heavily, voice full of panic. "Mark, I crossed them. I called the police. They're coming for me. I'm the number one target."
"Wait, the red room? On the deep web? You busted the red room?" Mark couldn't belive it.
"And it's going to be easy now. My own house is just a short drive away from the second location! They're going to go after me. Look, I was only able to get an image of one guy throughout the entire livestream. Blond hair, circular glasses. He looked very put together. Listen, they're moving to the alternate location. It's nearby, so if I go missing. Watch out for that guy I mentioned. Blond hair, circular glasses."
"Wait, what? Don't hang up! The Red Room is after you?!" Mark tried desperately to keep him on the phone.
"I'm sorry. Please, don't contact me again." Then he hung up.
This is what he meant. He had called the police, so he was the one who had lead to the downfall of the red room. He was target number one, and he HD warned him about this guy.
"You okay? You seem distracted." Asked the man.
"I'm sorry, my friends are waiting for me. I should go." Mark started to get up.
"Oh those guys?" The man took a close look at Nate and Steph, still arguing. "They seem busy. Sir back down." He said.
Suddenly, Mark felt a gun barrel pressed against his leg. The man was hiding it cleverly. Mark sat back down, the barrel still pointed to his leg.
"Besides, if I remember correctly, they're dead, right?"
