A BOOK OF POEMS!

Childhood Memory!!

It was 5th grade

I was under a tree shade

My friends were playing

and leaves were swaying

I was alone

looking at the sky

wondering and throwing stones

But then a girl came

' I'm Christine ', she told her name

She asked, ' Why are you here ?? '

I said,' Because no one is here! '

' Don't be alone ', she said.

Why?? Everybody have their friends

I don't have any...

That is where it ends!!, I replied.

She said,'  Come with me '

I said, ' Agreed '

She took me to back of school

the place was muddy, but was cool

She took my hand

and pointed towards a star

which was shining in scorching Sun

and was too far

I was fascinated

by how the world was created

She said

You have some things in you

that others don't

You can change

but others won't

That is what makes you special

You know,

my mother says,

Stars can't shine without darkness

But I believe they can,

What matters is they shine..

It doesn't matter whether

It is darkness or not!!

See, she pointed towards the star

You don't have to be alone

big men are alone

you also don't have

your beard grown

We laughed

Those who shine

are not alone

Just like stars, See!!

They have other stars with them

Great!!, I exclaimed

The bell ranged,

We went.....

I didn't understood that day!!

Sometimes people are meant

To cross our way,

We don't know how, or why

But most important thing is

What you learn from them...

I do understand it now,

When I'm in highs and lows

When I get yeses and noes

I remember the stars,

How they keep shining,

No matter what happens

It is because,

They were meant to be like that!!!
