Was a cold crisp autumn night as Shonica walked home from the movie theater. She found herself in deep thought as she walked home. She has taken this route so often it was muscle memory by now. Her head of full of dreams that couldn't become reality for she was not a very artisticperson. Shonica was very tall and slender. She was six foot three inches and was slender but curvy. Her hair long wavy and red as blood. Her green eyes darted around as she heard a sound pulling her out of her day dreams. No one was around and she decided to hurry home before Eric got home from work! He would be very upset knowing she was out alone when people was going missing in their town! But she couldn't sit home alone when her favorite movie series out! Eric didn't enjoy it so she thought she would spare him going. Kids her age and younger kept going missing in the suburbs and the main city.

She entered her warm house and hurried to the kitchen to get supper started! She was running behind and Eric would be home from their office. They owned a very prestigious law firm together in the city. Eric handle more cases than Shonica because he wanted her home more as they was trying to adopt. They lived in the suburbs and commuted to work. Was about a thirty minute drive to the city.  Shonica and Eric met at law school. He probably never would have given her the time of day but they was paired together for a mock trial. Of course this was just what she thought because she was very self deprecating. And he was a God in human form! Was little taller than her by four inches and muscular. Olive skin with beautiful hazel eyes that was almost gold. He was full Cherokee, where as Shonica was Italian and Native American. They worked together a lot for preparations for the mock trial and slowly got to know one another. She didn't let her secret out as they was preparing because why would she need to since they was only doing this project together then he would be gone in the sea of other classmates in that class. But after they won the trial he asked her out on a date. She told him no on the first and second try. But he would not give up so she came clean and told him she wasn't like other girls and that she was trans girl. But Eric didn't care, he already fell in love all those nights together preparing for the class project. They dated for a year then got married while still in Law school.

As Eric pulled into the drive way she was just getting done with setting the table up for supper.  She could tell he was mad because he was cussing all the way to the door. She rushed to the door greeting her soulmate. He walked in grabbed her and gave her a toe curling kiss as he always does. She loves running her fingers through his long silky hair. Eric has it up during business hours but takes it down before he leaves work. He knows she prefers his hair down, and loves to play with it. Eric could never stay mad when she was around. She mad him very sexually frustrated even after being married going on five years.

They had a lovely dinner together. Talking about work and family.

"Speaking of family we need to visit your soon" Eric said with a smirk on his face.

"We can visit during the holidays, they live so far away" she said trying to avoid the subject of going home to the small rural town. She loved living in a bigger city with a bunch of suburbs attached.

"You know they miss you and want you to visit more" Eric said then dropping it cause he knows it's touchy. She loves family and wish hers would move to where she was because she didn't enjoy the city she grew up in. She was tortured as a child in her home town of Dodge City. Bullied relentlessly by small minded school kids because she was different. They called her faggot and told her to kill herself. Once she knew herself she was then called IT because she was transgender! So she avoided going back as much as she could! When she went to law school it was a major change from what she was used to. People was more accepting and friendlier, perhaps also she was more sociable now that she was in more of her own skin.

"Halloween will be here, then we have Thanksgiving with your folks. And then during Yule vacation we can go see my family, how's that sound" Shonica suggested. Eric nodded then picked up both their dishes and began to wash them. Shonica joined him and dried them off and put them away. As they cleaned the dishes and kitchen Shoni pondered how she got so lucky to find such a perfect match to her.
